I'm finally home and got to see my kids after four days though my mom's keeping them for the rest of the week.
The surgery itself wasn't so bad but the abscess was about the size of a tangerine so there's a large void that has to heal from the inside out. This wound has to be unpacked and repacked with gauze daily which is the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. It's so bad, it usually makes me vomit a few times so my diet doesn't seem to be a concern at the moment.
But I'm alive, I'm home, I got to see my kids and there is a light at the end of the tunnel, however painful it may be to get there.
