Default I'm still here, and stupid scale question...

Just wanted to let y'all know that I'm still here, and one month a lacto-ova vegetarian! Only 3 lbs down since my 120 lb update (due to poor food choices of course, BUT, better than gaining 3 lbs). I haven't been on due to Internet restrictions, I'm usually only on for 30 min to an hour at the most a day, and usually that is spent with email, school stuff, or the other forum I'm on... That I've been on for three years. So yeah, still here.

Have a question though... I have a scale that my parents got me, but I'm beginning to feel like... Either it hates me (like in Garfield), or the bathroom floor is VERY messed up. Or both. this morning it told me I was 235. Yesterday it was 225. Checked on my mom & dad's... 218 after dinner. so, thoughts on how to possibly even it out? I'd rather not move it downstairs... That defeats the point of me having a scale of my own. Oh... And apart from the bathrooms and the kitchen... Everything in this house is carpet.

The thing is... It's on tile right now... Not carpet...

I hear you on the messed up floor. After many sale issues, I think its the floor being crooked. And same here, that only the kitchen and bathroom are tile...and both are crumby.
10 lbs, I'm going to say is way too much of a difference to be water weight!

The most I try to do it find the most level spot on the floor. I do this by making sure the scale doesn't rock or wobble. Then I make sure to weigh myself with the scale in teh EXACT same spot everyday. I notice if I move the scale even an inch over, I will get a different weight. But honestly even that doesn't always work. Sometimes I still get different weights.
Sorry I couldnt be of more help.

Sounds like you need new batteries. That always happens to my scale when it's running low on Energy it just keeps adding weight all over the place and then I pop in a new set of batteries and wahla it tells me my real weight again.

So, growing up there was this HUGE step up scale at the front of our Publix store. It was 'medically accurate' and it was a big deal to get to weigh yourself at the end of grocery shopping.

It is still there and the face on it is gigantic, probably 2 feet across. One of those toledo scales, if you are familiar with those. Has like a big clock face. And it went up to 300 lbs.

The whole family would weigh on it every time. Now I think back, it's kinda brave to hop on that scale where God and everyone can see you. lol

My little Granny still shops at that Publix once a week. I talk to her every night and I can always tell when she's been grocery shopping because she tells me how much she weighs that week.
