Hi everyone,
I was just wondering how much you were able to lose in 4 months and what was your plan. I would *ideally* like to lose 40 lbs but even 30 would be wonderful and put me back at my wedding weight. I'm just not sure if that's realistic goal though. And I do not want to set myself up for failure.
We are thinking of starting to ttc in June and that is why there is a timeline. Of course, I will re-evaluate once we get there and see how far I am with my weight loss. DD will have turned 1 in May. We were able to easily get pregnant with her and we hope that it will be the same this time around, but you never really know. Thanks for your input!
I think it is a good goal! And if you come close at say 30, well then it was worth all the effort. I lost about 32 in 4 months, at first averaging about 10lbs a month and then as I got closer to goal it slowed down a bit.
It depends on how healthy you were before you started and what your body wants to do. If you were eating relatively healthy before it will be pretty tough but if you ate nothing but junk the first 20 should come off relatively easy in the first month or two in theory. I usually lose between 6-12 pounds a month when I'm on completely on plan but everyone is different and there is no telling what your body will do. You are really going to need to push yourself but if you exercise an hour a day 3-4 days a week doing circuit training and speed walking and keep your calories at around 1400-1600 calories a day you should be able to do it.
On my last weight loss journey I lost 34 lbs in 12 weeks. Bear in mind I was working out hard for 5-6 days a week and being fairly diligent with my eating habits! Oh and my trainer said that being 19/20 (I'm 21 now) helped with as well... I'm back at it again and have faith that I can lose the weight again. If you put your mind to it and be passionate about your eating and exercise it is definitely do-able! Go you Go!
