Struggling with plateau
I know it is common to have a plateau at this point (I have lost 25 of 50 pounds) but I am really mentally struggling to stick to plan when the scale day after day shows 164.4. I have tried upping my protein, dropping my calories (100-200) from my normal 1500, having a treat to jump my metabolism but nada, scale still says 164.4. I am going to try exercising this week (I stopped a while ago, I know bad). I am reluctant to try calorie shifting again as I tend to binge on the high days.
I am just really feeling down, especially when I look at my barely changed fat tummy. |
How long have you been at this plateau?
I think exercise might help get things revved up again, especially if you want to stay at the calories you are currently used to. |
Well I think your main problem is you need to change your calorie allowance. Now that your smaller and sedentary you're calorie requirements are pretty low according to all the calculators I look at you should be eating between 1200 and 1300 calories a day to lose a pound a week.
