I have the same problem with thinking errors that you describe. If we only could congratulate ourselves for eating the fajitas plain and only having a small piece of cake rather than beating ourselves up for imperfect behavior. It's that all or nothing thinking that if we screw up that everything is lost. In the long haul that piece of cake is irrelevant. Even if you had screwed up major it's only one day. If you can hold it together mentally and keep on plan you are a winner at being a LOSER.

I can totally relate to where you are at. I have been doing this for months and last week. I ate on plan but drank a bunch of diet soda. The scale crept up a couple of LBS when I was expecting a loss.

I feel so frustrated. I even considered making pancakes with lots of butter and syrup on Sunday because I was upset. I didn't and stayed on plan. I'm not exactly in a happy frame of mind but I didn't want to suffer like I did after Christmas going through carb withdrawal again.

Intellectually I know that if I stick to this long term that I will see more weightloss. I think of some of the posts I have read where people plateau for long periods of time. I don't know where they found the resolve to stick with it. I want to see some sort of change on a weekly basis even if it is small. I have been telling myself everyday that I can do this one more day. I know that if I go back to my old ways that I will regain what I lost and lose the motivation to keep going. Fortunantly all weeks aren't as hard as this one.
