I survived my vacation!
 

I gained about 6.5 pounds according to the scale on 1/12 and as of this morning I am back to my pre-vacation weight! I have NEVER been able to do this--a bite was a binge, and a binge never had an end in sight.

During the first 4 or 5 days of vacay, I ate very carefully, but then I just got sick of thinking about it. I did binge twice on the buffets, for sure--I was so full and it felt awful. But I still call that progress, since I didn't just throw in the towel immediately. Usually I'd starting "vacationing" on the ride to the airport by buying a slice of breakfast pizza, or eating a big greasy bon-voyage breakfast.

I'm working really hard on thinking about food in a "normal" way, but boy, it's so ingrained in my brain that food is something more than just sustenance..

:carrot: That's great! I'm glad you're back at your pre-vacation weight. That was always hard for me too because I would just eat like I did before I changed my lifestyle and that wasn't working too well.
