I guess the thing with food is YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT! Its not like a drug or a smoke...something that you can just ignore or remove yourself from that lifestyle...its everywhere...from TV to the first step into Walmart there are cookies and bad things everywhere! This is why it is so addicting for me. Its not like I can walk away from food...and I've been trained to clean my plate....and to do it quickly. I hope I can at least reprogram my brain to eat less and not woof it down in seconds!

It has not become second nature for me, but it is much easier. I even went haywire for a few months, but I never let myself get back to where I had been before. I don't think that will ever happen. At this point in a lot of ways it is easier for me to stay on plan than not to. There are days though where I think about brownies - there will always be those days. I just move my brain along to something else.

Milmin - Your story is really interesting. Obviously something is working for you, and if the watch switching is part of it I say keep on switching. When I read your post to hubby, he said to ask if you'd ever thought of adding a pocket watch instead of the wrist watch to your rotation.

OhMyDogs - The smoking thing is the same as the food thing. It gets much easier, but it never goes away. It has been over 2 years for me, and now I can even allow my hubby to smoke in his truck when I'm riding with him, but there are still moments every now and then. They are farther and farther apart and I get over them almost instantly at this point, but they still happen. My father says he still gets them, and he quit in 2001.

fitgirl-actually, no kidding, last weekend my son suggested that very idea and tomorrow I am going shopping to get a stop watch. I will let you know how it goes.
