Being accountable...
 
Hi all,

I am new to this board, and I am excited to have found it! Over the past 4 years I have lost around 80 pounds -- I have 30 more to go and right now I am stuck. I vascillate between 195-201 and that has been going on for the past year. I want to lose weight, I enjoy exercising (when I am motivated, and right now I am feeling suuuuuper lazy), and I am a food addict at times. Some days I can control it, other days I feel like I am someone else who can't stop eating. I would like to start a family with my husband this year and I want to be as healthy as I can before I get pregnant. I feel that my metabolism has really slowed down now that I am in my 30's and I just can't get it in my head to drop these last 30 pounds. I'm looking forward to taking this journey with everyone because I don't feel like I am being held accountable by anyone, and maybe this board will help me with that.

Good luck :) Maybe doing something to shake things up will help? Posting what you already do can help others give you some ideas :)

What is your plan/ strategy? Are you exercising at all?

I find calorie counting the simple and easiest thing to do. Focus on filling foods and eating mostly clean and non-processed foods as much as possible.

Hi Matt,

I don't calorie count daily because it doesn't work for me...but, I eat almost the exact same thing everyday, so I am pretty in-tune with my daily caloric intake average.

I exercise quite a bit. I do at least 4 days of cardio for 60 minutes. I actually enjoy exercising (when I am motivated!).

I am trying to find out what fills me up the most without being too crazy with calories. I'm trying to get it through my thick skull that I can lose these 30 pounds, but I have a mental block on my brain for some reason. Trying to fix that!
