Just another accountability thread :)

My wedding was on Saturday (there are pictures in General Chatter!!!), and while it was the most perfect wonderful beautiful day of my life, it has kind of thrown me off, eating-wise. I won't lie, I ate on the light end of my calories for about two weeks before the wedding. No crash diets or anything, I always ate at least 1200 of good healthy whole foods. But I did get down to 123.0lbs on the morning of the wedding. Some of you know that I take going out of my maintenance range very seriously, whether it's too low or too high. So I saw the 123lbs number, had a blast at the wedding, and ever since I've had this awful mentality of "Ahhh, don't have to worry about fitting into the dress anymore, AND I need to get back into my maintenance range, so sure, I'll eat just one more Christmas cookie."

While yes, I do want to get back into my maintenance range (my happy number is 127lbs), I want to do it properly. I want to still eat my healthy balanced diet that I'm oh so proud of and COUNT calories...just bump the number up.

With the excitement of the wedding, now we're moving in two weeks and my kitchen is a minefield of boxes, the false security of being under my maintenance range, and with Christmas goodies being thrown at me in every which direction....I have had more "oopsies" than I'm comfortable with in the last few days. Nothing major, but I don't want to let it spiral into anything.

So here's my little confession AND declaration that I will hereby remain on plan no matter what "perfectly good excuse" pops into my head. I love my lifestyle, my healthy habits, being at a weight I'm happy with. I love maintenance. But it absolutely requires conscious effort and diligence.

:carrot: <-- this is me staying on plan and being thrilled about it!

Awesome!

How much weight (if at all) do you think you might have gained from the wedding? You might already be sort of in your maintainance range now.

Its great that you don't push yourself to get lower but are comfortable at a slightly higher weight than you have been. Someday I'll find exactly what weight I'm most confortable, but I'm not quite there yet.

Matt, I was 123lbs the day of the wedding (Saturday), and I was 123.2 as of yesterday (Wednesday).

I haven't been gorging myself or anything, but with the excitement/stress/obliteration of my routine, I have only been loosely counting and have been sneaking in too many treats. Just not eating the clean whole foods that I like.

I guess I'm not too worried about a big gain right now, I'm worried about falling out of my good habits and eating foods that make me feel crummy.
