MAD, I'm the one who bought it, grrrr!!!
Why did I buy the ice cream:devil:? Now it screams at me to eat some....
and it won:devil::devil:! I hate not having the control over junk food, especially sweets... Ok, I know I can do this.... I'm gonna put it in the garbage can right now.... Feeling healthy is so much better than feeling sick.... Thank you all for hearing me vent-out, just needed to write this down to someone who understands... there, to the garbage can I go! |
i understand completely. I come home every day and eat chips and peanuts, and whatever else. I just can't stop. Mind you these are my husbands snacks that he buys for himself and I end up eating it. I do this every day. It's so depressing.
|
Throwing it out is the best thing you can do. I've done that before with pastries and evil things that just make me feel sick looking at them (and the thought of how its more calories then I intended to eat that day).
It is a waste of money, but you have to figure out for yourself which is more important -losing 4 dollars or making yourself feel bad. |
I generally just avoid buying it. If it is in the house, it will be gone. No Willpowe AT ALL. One cookie starts the whole slippery slope and next thing I know I am sitting in front of an empty package of Oreo's a glass of milk (because I do not actually DRINK the milk with the crumbs in it..ew, but it is necessary for the Oreo's) feeling like crap.
Good job throwing it away. Now make it gross and smash it all up, then the temptation is TOTALLY gone. |
hehe, you are such good supporters, thanks!!!!
just arrived from the outdoors garbage can! the little devil is gone.YAYYYY!!!! I can feel that tomorrow will be a great day, thanks to you all, I needed it, xox |
great job. Sometimes for me the hardest part isn't my daily diet but those moment when one cookie turns into two or three or four or *gasp* five! Stopping is really something to celebrate!
|
Good Job! Have that great day tomorrow!
|
thanks again!
ebb&flow I have to agree, when I have one cookie...it just can't be one... so might as well keep away... Last night I had a meeting with friends, and after, there was a lunch, full of the nice looking little sweets....I DID NOT TAKE ONE BITE OF ANY SWEET, which I know is my downfall....I had 3 little pieces of cheese, 2 crackers and a few pieces of oranges...those things I don't crave and I can stop...but sweets are not the same story for me.... So I'm Celebrating my victory!!!! I am so happy with myself!!! Xmas parties are just starting....there's one tonight and Sunday...so I'll let you know how they go! |
well , I went to a Xmas party last night, had one beer , and tasted a few of the goodies, but did not go over boarded at all...and there was no sweet stuff on the table, so no temptation on that part....I'm happy with myself...

When I clicked on you post I thought you were going to have bought a shake weight or ab cruncher or new-fangled diet pill you were allergic to.

Okay today is a new day. As some people post don't beat yourself up for one day just don't give up. |
funny Stacygee, LOL
and 2fb, it was only one day, don't give up for sure!!! It's your Life, you deserve to have a GOOD one!! It's all about choices... Good luck! :) |
I am an Ice Cream Addict! Seriously... before losing weight that is the one thing I would always turn to. If I want some sort of sweet, I make it a point not to be able to bring anything home. If the "something sweet" is at Dairy Queen, I would have to get up, walk to my car, drive over there, and pay more for less ice cream. That's harder to do than walking to your freezer. I hope this helps.

Thanks Casey, it does make a lot of sense to think and do it that way! thanks for sharing!!!
