Hi Everyone!

The Endo lowered my meds some today. I was taking 200 mcg M-F and 224 mcg on Sat/Sun. Now I will be taking 200 mcg every day. I like that a lot better. She said she would be happy if I maintained my weight where it is or if I want to continue to lose, shoot for 150-160.

I also had my hair cut/colored today. It's cut in the same style that I have in my avatar. Before I let it grow, I was wearing it very short. It's longer than it was a few months back. We'll see how I like it tomorrow.

Pint I hope the meds start kicking in and you start feeling better soon. Hopefully you will get the antibiotics tomorrow, too.

Shells I think it would be good to wait before you make any changes. Give it a few weeks. If you don't have any weight loss, you can make some changes.

Krampus Great job on the new low.

Vixsin Congrats on the 1.6 pounds.

I've had no appetite today. None. My coughing is just as bad as it was earlier, which means I have to up the nebulizer thing to every 2 hours. It tends to make me jittery and kill my appetite too. And no dice on the antibiotic. My clinic is closed until Monday. So far, all I have is a nasty headache and dizziness, presumably from the ear infection, and the cough, wheezing and tightness in my chest from the respiratory infection. My chest hurts too. And, the kicker, I was trying to put on my favorite PJ pants, and I got dizzy and lost my balance. I ripped them AND fell. I cried.

The advice nurse told me if I get worse, or if I develop a fever (I rarely run a fever by doctor's standards since my normal body temp is around 97.2-97.4) I have to go to the ER. I really really really hope that doesn't happen. I don't want to spend the holidays sitting in a nasty ER waiting room for 6 hours, just for something my doctor should've given me today. UGH!! I want my pj pants back in once piece. I want my Christmas cookies already made, my gifts already wrapped and my house clean. Is that too much to ask? LOL

Good Morning Everyone!

I was secretly hoping to get below 170 before Christmas. I didn't think it would happen because TTOM has arrived. It did happen though. This morning I am 169.2! I will go back up because of TTOM, but it was good to see that number!

Pint I swear I would tell everyone that I am sick and they are on their own! Take care of yourself and I hope you can get the majority of the stuff done.

Good Morning All!

I am down another .4 this morning so that is a great way to go into Christmas Eve! That felt nice this morning.

Feeling strong about going into Christmas Eve tonight. Dinner at one place tonite, then dessert at another, and THEN get to come home. Big meals planned on Christmas Day and the day after as well.

I am sticking to lower carb and lower calories for breakfast and lunch today. I'm going to do tilapia and green beans for lunch today. Already had a Breyers light peach yogurt (80 c) mixed w some Cherrios (80 c). Just wanting to say it all out loud to you guys. I'm feeling confident and strong going into it but just need that extra something from my girls!!!

Diana: Congrats! I was hoping for you! I know seeing that number made you happy today! That is GREAT!!!

Pint: I agree with Diana! You are sick. It IS ok to BE sick. Now is not the time to take on all of those projects. Take care of you or else you'll end up in the ER. You know that. I'm sending you positive and "please try to rest!" vibes...: Feel better soon! Please take it slow over the next couple of days so that you can make it til Monday with no trips to the ER.

Vixsin Thank you. Congrats on the .4 and for having a plan. I think planning is the big thing and makes all the difference.

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!!

Well, I think I had a fever the last couple of days. I ached from head to toe and kept running to the bathroom. This morning, I woke up feeling better, but had that stupid red rash around my neck. Who needs a thermometer when I have a built in one? Yeesh. Also, this morning I weighed in at 213.6! I'm thinking I must be a bit dehydrated. I'm hydrating myself today and it's already up to 214.6. Of course, I'd love to keep that number, but I'm a bit leary of a 2 1/2 pound drop overnight. It's probably related to me being sick, so I'll wait a bit. Honestly though, with last night's meal and the salt intake, I thought I'd have been up.

Diana--Wow!! Congratulations!! Merry Christmas to you!! Do we get to see a new picture of you with the new haircut?

Pint--You poor thing. You need those antibiotics. Isn't there an emergency line you could call or something to get to your doctor and then have the hospital fill the prescription? I have respiratory issues too (including asthma) and I know how bad things can get. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Vixsin--Yay for being down again! Your talapia sounds scrumptious!

Stacy--Thanks! I think I have a pretty awesome hubby, too. I'm so glad we don't have a Chick Fil A up here in the North. When I lived in the South, I couldn't stay away from their waffle fries. Yum!

Diana--Oh, I wanted to add that I absolutely admire your will power. Constantly going out to eat and being able to resist all the heavy calorie meals. There are so many of them and they all sound so good! When I was looking at the menu, it all looked so good. And then I thought of you and thought "How does she do it??".

Shells I'm probably going to take some pictures when we go out of town. I think the big thing with eating out is to concentrate on eating basic foods, grilled/broiled meats and steamed/grilled veggies and one small piece of bread (if any at all). I almost eat out daily, so it's not a treat for me or a special occasion, so I eat "normal". When most people go out it's a treat or a special occasion, so they are more inclined to indulge. Does that make sense? I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. I hope you are back to 100% by the first of the year/month.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!

Just dropping in for a quick word. I was off plan yesterday b/c we had our annual Eggnogg Party and today (Christmas Eve), which is the big "food day" for us. We had fondue for dinner, and I overate. Trying not to stress about it, but we don't have big food plans for tomorrow, so I'll be back on plan .

Hope you're all having a wonderful time with friends and family. Will be back tomorrow with a proper account.

Merry Christmas, everyone!!

Vixsin, congrats on the drop!

And to the sick ladies, feel better and I hope you still enjoy the holiday.

For today and tomorrow, I decided as a Christmas treat I'd let myself go up to 2,000. That's still below my maintenance weight (2,400), but high enough to let me have an enjoyable dinner with my family and not have to cut out my other meals.

Breakfast:
Big-ish bowl of Cap'n Crunch with 2% milk (300)

Lunch:
1 slice of Muenster cheese on white bread (300)
3 deviled egg halves (140)

Dinner:
2 low-carb tortillas (160)
black beans [150]
1/2 avocado [150]
Velveeta shredded cheese (135)

Dessert:
1/2 Ritter Sport mint bar [300]

Total: 1635

Good Morning and Merry Christmas!

My weight dropped again this morning. I'm at 168.8. While we are out of town, I will focus on eating my regular breakfast and one other good meal. I am going to try to avoid eating 3 meals. We always sleep in, so we don't eat every meal. If I get hungry, I will try to eat something very small to hold me over to the next meal. Our dinner is normally early, too, so there shouldn't be a big problem. I will also stay focused on how I eat at home: lean protein and vegetables. I won't count calories, just try to do what I have been doing. We'll see how well I do when I get back. I may be just just talking a good talk, right?

This morning's breakfast will be lower calorie than normal. I will have a Greek yogurt. I won't count calories for my Christmas meal. I will try to eat in moderation and not waste calories on foods that I get on a daily basis (salad, veggies, etc). I probably won't eat dinner, because the type of meal I will have sticks with you. In other words, it leaves you feeling full, yucky, and bloated.

UGH! I still have a lot of stuff to pack. We will be leaving after we have lunch.

Enjoy the Holiday!
