One Small Step For Me...
I didn't lose anything this weekend, my scale still says 196. But that's just it...my scale still says 196, I didn't go up over the weekend!! :carrot:
Weekends are REALLY hard for me! I'm rarely home, generally out doing something whether it be running errands or getting together with friends and I don't have nearly the amount of control I have all week long when I'm at home. I'm proud of myself for sticking to diet, not going overboard and being the exact same weight on Monday that I was on Friday! Who else here has a real tough time on the weekends? What tips can you give to help me and others get through each weekend without a gain (even if it's a superficial water one)? |
YAY you!
I have a hard time on the weekends too. Mostly because it is easier for me to not have to make decisions during the week. During the week I pack my lunch and snacks, and that is it. I have my water and I know how many of those little bottles I am supposed to drink, and that is it. I eat by the clock sometimes at work, because it keeps me on track and because if I did not, I would not eat and then binge. At home, running around, sleeping in, not prepacking and for whatever reason not drinking anything, let alone water, gets me totally off track. I am going to try packing stuff up the night before on weekends as well. Also, I tend to keep snacky stuff in my purse if I am going out, string cheese, roasted chickpeas, roasted pumpkin seeds, celery etc. That helps to keep hunger at bay and not binge. Then if we go out to dinner, I order a salad, dressing on the side and eat that first, then I take half the entree and put it right away, and cut the other half, in half. Usually, I am good to go. OH and I avoid sugar and "bad" carbs. Hope it helps! |
Travel is my culprit, those weekend trips that seem so innocent at first.
I'm learning to eat differently when I eat out. Instead of trying to get the protein with the vegetables, I just tell myself that I have to eat salads if I am going to eat out, it doesn't matter what anyone else is eating. That really helps me stay on track so I don't gain, even water gain. Of course, drinking only water! |
