Good luck with small changes in your diet ... one day at a time ! Even moving just 30 minutes a day from doing nothing but being couch potato at night is SOMETHING ! I personally don't like any of the " bars " as i find they are all so terribly sweet and actually make me crave more food ........ so I have started to eat a small container of no-fat yogurt sprinkled with granola ( just a tbsp ) and it holds me until lunch . Increase your water consumption a bit each week as that really helps ! As for not cooking .... I think the frozen dinners may not be enough but what about having one and with a side salad ( they come pre-packaged if you don't like making them ! ) Good luck !!!!

Also, I can totally relate to being a full-on Couch Potato! I've had to do the 30-min-a-day thing lately, too, just to get used to moving my body! I have a sedentary job and I work from home, so my commute is like 15 steps.

Blue Cross Blue Shield has a campaign promoting "Groove your body every day" and that has been my motivation. I also find that 30 minutes is not very much, and when I want to I can walk for miles and miles without getting tired. I am also more likely to walk regularly if I make it a social event, so at least once a week I try to meet a friend for a longer walk.

Thanks guys...

I am mixing in salads, and veggies, and fruits along with the easy frozen meals. I feel full and actually feel a lot better than when I was living off of double cheeseburgers and fries....

so... I think I'll stick with it for a while ... if I feel like it's getting to monotonous I will change it up more.

I think you are on the right track with trying to eat healthier. Eating out is almost always a bad sign to any weight loss plan. Their may not be a lot of healthy choices out there other than salad. Who wants to eat that all day every day. Not me! I have had problems with weight all my life and the journey has been tidious to say the least. I'm a strong supporter of exercise and healthy eating. Don't get dicouraged keep up the good fight.
