how to handle pms cravings?

GAH! Since I started this journey nearly a month ago, not once have I craved and sweets or chocolate. Never! I just don't miss them--there are other things that I miss more.
Now, since my TOM is on the horizon, I'm having horrible cravings for chocolate, particularly, brownies. What do I do! i feel like I am torturing myself--I'm tempted to just go ahead and have it and put myself out of agony.

I don't keep things I don't want to eat in the house. This is really key for me since I'm too lazy to go out for things. I also try not to let myself get overly hungry.

This. If I AM wanting candy, I go out and get those 70 calorie werthers originals, then have my mom hide the bag when I'm not eating them so I'm not tempted. I think like 3 of them are 70 calories.

if you give in, don't make the brownies yourself and don't buy them en masse. i would suggest going to panera bread or some kind of coffee shop and buying one from there. bring a friend, choose the smallest one, and ask if they'll split it with you. you could maybe turn it into a kind of ritual and just establish it as a once a month kind of a thing. don't beat yourself up over it, either, or allow yourself to have anymore than this -- slight gives are okay as long as you work them out and don't allow them to lead to larger ones.

either that, or maybe find an alternative that works for you. when i crave chocolate, i eat a yoplait yogurt whip. these are only 160 calories and have 20% of your daily value of calcium in them.

I'm feeling your pain right now as well. I do want chocolate, but I want salty things even more.

mm brownies... seriously, I would evaluate what I was craving but if after eating something health, drinking lots of water, and excercising there was still the craving I would probably end up getting one at a coffee shop if I could find one at. TBH I haven't eliminated ANYTHING from my diet, I just eat less of it. So having just one brownie, once a month seems okay as long as you keep the rest of your eating in check. :) Or find a substitute for the chocolate craving, I love real cocoa powder, splenda, skim milk and hot water for a low cal yummy choco fix... :)

I don't keep anything in the house. If I crave it, I can go get myself a single serving. Also, have you tried the chocolate whips by Yoplait? I put them in my freezer and they are yummy.

I ended up going to the grocery store and getting a reeses pumpkin and a bag of those sweet moments mini brownies. I ate 5 of the brownies from the bag, and gave the rest to my sister. My cheat ended up costing me 530 cals (ouch!) putting me at 1960 cals for the day.
Without the chocolate, I would have been within my cal limit for the day, but whatever. No sense in beating myself up now, whats done is done, and tomorrow is a new day.
