Default Changing goal weight

Instead of thinking I have 30lbs to lose. i've decided to start small and go mini goals so i've changed my ticker to my goal weight at 140 instead of 120. this way when I hit 140 i'll be so proud of myself and then change my ticker to another 10lbs lighter. idk if it'll help but worth a shot.

I did this for a long time. See all those mini goals under my signature? I used to set my ticker to my mini goal and it was a happy, happy day when I got to change that ticker! Since I'm closer to goal now I decided to jump in and make the ticker my ultimate goal. But I tell you...those mini goals aren't nearly as meaningful now.

I think it's a great idea!

I have had about a million mini-goals (and holy carp! there aren't many left compared to when I started!)!

I keep mini goals in mind, but I keep the end goal in my signature. I think it's all about what motivates you. I need to keep the big goal in mind, cause 10 pounds just doesn't seem worth it for the trouble. I've never been the kind to say, "I need to lose 10 pounds for the reunion!" Blah, who cares?

But many, many people freak out if they look mainly at the bigger picture and get discouraged. I think changing it to mini-goals sounds like the right idea for you!
