Default My BMI, Your BMI?

right now i am only 6.8 pounds from no longer being obese. just overweight seems like a happy little place for myself.

if i lose 20 more pounds i think i might stop dieting, 160, and a BMI of 27.5 doesnt seem sooo bad, right?

what about you all?

I think wherever you feel comfortable and healthy is a good place to be. We were not all destined to have a bmi of 19. I know people who are in the overweight category by 10 or 15 pounds who look great, feel great, and are active and healthy..and I know people who are at a normal BMI, who look sloppy and cant even walk a flight of stairs without being winded..when it comes down to it, it really is just a statistical number, and we cant all fit into the same statistics. I think it is good for everyone to [pay close attention to how they look and feel, and adjust their plans accordingly if necessary and wanted.

My goal is 115 which is a bmi of 24.1. I may or may not adjust as I get a bit closer. Only time will tell.

When I started this time around my BMI was 26.4. Now it's 22.1. I'll consider maintenance when it gets down to 21.0.

My BMI is 23.6, I think I want to get down to 135 which would be 21.8, but I may stop sooner than that and I'm ok with any BMI that's in the normal range as long I feel good about myself.

I'm 29.0 and I want to get down to atleast 24, but I'll see how I feel with every drop after that.
Although I am really happy with the 1 BMI point I have lost so far... every loss makes a difference, so I'm excited how different another 5 BMI points will feel coming off.

My BMI is 23.7. When I started, my BMI was about 31.1. I want to get to a BMI of at least 21, if not 18.6, if possible. Technically my dietician-measured ideal BMI is 22.5, but I think I can surpass that and be OK.

I started, a couple of years ago, at just shy of 51 BMI. Yeah, ouch. As of this morning, I'm at 22.35. My original goal, as with the original poster, was 27.5, and I did look pretty good there, and felt great, but upon achieving it, I dropped my final goal another 20, and when I got there, I dropped it another 10, and now that I'm here, I honestly think I'm going to try for another 5 pounds. I'll reassess when I get there, but I'm kind of thinking that my present weight of 165ish is going to be my red line, and approximately 160 is where I'll want to call goal.

We're the same height. I am at 160 and feel tremendous! I often ask myself this very question. I feel like I am smaller than my weight would suggest. I'm wearing a size 8 pants and am very happy with that.

I still have a high body fat % though, which is frustrating. The hand held thing says my body fat % is 33. I would definitely like to lower that, even though I don't have a whole lot of confidence in the hand held device.

I've reached a point where I am now losing vanity pounds. I feel really good about myself and I would be fine to maintain here. So I figure anything from here on down is just gravy.

My BMI is 30.7
A "normal" weight range for my height is 126 - 169. I am shooting for 170. I will see how I feel when I get there... but honestly, if I was a firm, muscular 180 and feelin' great and fitting nicely into clothes, that would be fine, too. I am not looking to be "skinny" but just healthier and thinner than I am now.

As of this morning I am 10.8 pounds away from an overweight BMI. I am very excited to be overweight, lol! Right now I'm shooting for a "normal" BMI of 24.9, so a weight of 145 or so. I'll have to see how I feel then as to whether I adjust or not.

My starting BMI this time was 30.1.

Highest non-preggo BMI was 32.

Current BMI is 27.7.

I'm 16lbs away from a healthy BMI. It seems like so much, but that sure beats where I was in the beginning! Perspective is everything.
