Question Need help to get started

Hello everyone. I am new to the site. I am trying to find a place to start. I am currently at 285 and would like to be down to at least 180. I take 30 mgs of prednasone every other day. Can anyone help me find a good way to start?
Blessings,
Judy

Ugh I am so sluggish today. I made myself a huge stir fry dish of veggies hoping it would fill me up and give me energy - just made me even more tired!

Nicole - Good for you for staying on plan with all this stress!

Hi ladies!

Quick check-in. Have to help the kiddos with studying (don't know how they survived without me the last 1.5 years ).

Well, today was NOT a great day food-wise. I went to lunch with an old friend and completely failed the restaurant challenge. Ugh!

B - few blueberries, 100ml orange juice watered down with a small bottle of sparkling water
L - 1.5 buffalo chicken egg rolls, chicken quesadilla
S - Starbucks salted caramel skim latte (it's supposed to be a caramel mocha, but I hate how sweet the mocha stuff is, so I asked them to just add a bit of caramel and salt sprinkles to my latte - it's delicious, but of course not an everyday treat)
D - pesto grilled chicken with roast veggies, pineapple

Workout: 20 minutes on the elliptical stairmaster, 45 mins on the treadmill, 30 mins of Wii Fit stuff (I did 10 minutes of hula hoop and my stomach is already sore ). My arms are still sore from my 45 minute Wii tennis session last night .
Overall, I know I need to do better tomorrow, but being that I had a tiny breakfast, I think I didn't go over too much. I hope. We have dinner reservations tomorrow night, but it's a fish place, so there will be lots of good choices.

I did 45 minutes on the elliptical, but a family member called very upset because a very good friend of theirs passed away, so I called it quits and went home immediately. They needed to talk with hubby (it was his family member) but couldn't contact him.

Tomorrow is my weekly weigh in. I'm really hoping for a loss, but I don't feel any thinner, in fact I feel like I've GAINED, so we'll see. My calories in vs calories out says I should've lost at least .5lbs, buuuut we'll have to see.

Tomorrow is my son's first field trip at school and I'm chaperoning. We have to have bag lunches that won't spoil if kept out of the fridge. Once the kids are in bed, I'll be planning!

Ok so I have the worst cravings for carbs today. Noodles or bread. I haven't had cravings for a while so it's odd. And dinner was already made tonight!

Day went pretty good today. How about everyone else?

Judycallaway Hi and Welcome! I have never taken prednasone, so I'm not familiar with it. I would suggest you to do a search of 3FC's for prednasone. I have actually read some posts recently. Have you talked with you doctor? Maybe they can suggest a calorie range for you. Here's the guide that I use, but your situation may be different. http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/1821967-post2.html I welcome you to post your foods. It has been very helpful for me to stay on track.

Good morning and TGIF in Asia/Oceania!

I did the unthinkable and went for my run before work this morning. I have my rule that I don't break: No showers unless you've just exercised (weekend morning-afters are the exception, smoky bars/clubs warrant showering)! Yesterday I felt too crappy to exercise so it was either go to work filthy or bite the bullet and I did. Running first thing in the morning was difficult, but I went for about 30 minutes (with a couple 30-45 second walking breaks, sadly) before running home to shower.

Also in wonderful news it turns out I'd taken the laxative wrong the other night - didn't mix it with water, DUH krampus - retook it last night and feel RELIEF today.

Small loss on the scale too. 59.8 kg yesterday to 59.6 kg today.
