OMG ~ I just RAN a 1/2 mile. Back when I started this journey I could barely walk 5 minutes on the treadmill and tonight I ran for about 6 1/2 minutes outside, which meant not all level ground. I am not a runner and have never been a runner, but I wanted to see how much I've improved. Even back in my younger years when I was an athlete I wasn't a very good runner ~ I have always hated to run. I do know though it is not something I can do again any time soon. My lungs are killing me and I'm fighting off an asthma attack - but I ran!

Ok, so I ate all three meals today, but I am down to 900 calories. I had to take out the bread from today because it came out looking mutated <grin>. I'm not particularly hungry.

Pint: Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Well got to get some school work done. Talk to everyone later.

B - Oatmeal (280 cal)
L - Turkey, cheddar on multi grain thin w/ mustard (245 cal)
Almonds, no salt (37 cal)
D - Baked chicken breast (284 cal)
Broccoli (53 cal)
Buffalo Wing sauce (15 cal)
S - Apple raw with skin (55 cal)
Almonds, no salt (37 cal)
Coffee with Splenda (6 cal)
Romaine Lettuce + spray dressing (22 cal)
Grapes (110 cal)

Total - 1143

Exercise - 60 min on treadmill. I may have walked incredibly slow, but I went the entire 60 minutes on a 1.0 incline. Not bad for 2 or 3 months with no exercise! The treadmill said 356 calories burned. Plus I was on the Wii Fit this morning for another 70 calories.

I think I could have actually eaten more calories today, but it seemed like a ton of food and I was not really hungry. I even skipped my diet soda for water! (64 ounces today!)

Today was a big milestone in my exercise - I ran for about 45 minutes without getting tired, winded or stopping to walk!!!!!! I probably went only 3-4 miles or so, but up until today I'd never been able to break the 20-minute mark without walking for a little bit. FEELS SO GOOD. I had a hearty dinner but stayed within my calorie allotment. Daily total of 1500 or so.

Breakfast - 120
-Yogurt, 89
-Coffee, 30ish

Lunch - 700
-Omurice (chicken and carrot rice inside an omelette with black ketchup)
-Clear soup with tofu
-Grapes

Snack - 35
-Boss gave me a chocolate square, 35

Dinner - 650
-Bok choy and 150g tofu with soy sauce, 150
-Small portion of white rice with yellow Thai curry, 500

Exercise
-45 min jogging, approx. 3-4 miles
-60 minutes walking

By BanSidHe: I got on the Wii Fit this morning and did the step class, hulu hoop, and boxing for fun. I know it is barely any calories, but just getting moving gave me quite a bit of motivation to carry it through the day.
BanSidHe - Any exercise is better than none! At least the Wii Fit is fun so you'll spend a decent amount of playing

By Vixsin: Lauren: Hi! Glad you had a good weekend. I was thinking about ya. What do you use for your homemade stirfry sauce?
Vixsin - I do a few different sauces. The one I like the most is a Tahini based sauce that goes well with Tempeh and Soba Noodles. The other one is a soy sauce based one that goes well with brown rice and tofu.

Paradise - Hiya

Shells - I did guzzle that water and glad to say I am down to my Friday weight. Great job getting into those smaller sizes!

roxanne - Great job on the 1 pound loss! Doesn't it always feel good to lose when you expected to gain

Kiwi - You got through day 1 with success, well done! How do you feel??

Hi LittleL!

Pint Sized - awwww I hope you both feel better soon.

Krampus - Computer crashes are the worst! Especially when you are in the middle of personals! Great job losing that pound! And well done on all that running. Awesome!

Mama - Well done running that 1/2 mile - that's quite an accomplishment. You have come such a long way, I am so proud of you!

Library, Diana & Cincim - Hi Girls, your days look good

Hi abidabbi! Glad to see you dropping in and still getting all that gym time! Awesome

Sooooooo I am back down to my pre-weekend weight of 190.8lbs. Hoping that I can make it into the 180's this week, that would be AWESOME! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Here is the plan for the day 10/19/2010

B - 1 cup Quinoa cereal w/ 1/2 cup almond milk + 1 banana

S - Handful of organic tortilla chips w/ organic salsa

L - Homemade Bolognese (tempeh, mushrooms, lot's of veggies) on whole wheat spaghetti

S - 1 Apple

D - Barley Casserole (prob. about 1 cup's worth) + lightly steamed kale w/ braggs

Drinking: At least 2 cups green tea + 2L water

Have a happy, healthy and OP day

Good Morning All!

OMGoodness I missed so much last night. I was hanging out with a friend. Just wanting to check in and say a quick good morning to you all!

The scale was super friendly this morning I am down 1.4 to 237.4 but I did also see an even lower number a couple of times after that but I decided to stick with the first number I got. Hey maybe it will make for a better loss for tomorrow.

Food is all packed for work today. I'll BBL for personals.

Mind if I join you all? I started posting (again) about a week or two ago. I first joind 3FC in September of 2008 and I almost made goal (I think I had 6 pounds left at my lowest). I was able to maintain that weight for a long time but life got crazy stressful. I was finishing my dissertation, renovating a house, and then moved across the country. So now that I am settled here I am getting back to it. I am a bit depressed today because I went up 1.4 pounds between yesterday and today which should not have happened based on calories etc... I know fluctuations are normal but I really want to be in the 160's quickly. I have to fly back to my old town in 2 weeks and I would really like to not be bigger than when I left (which I am guessing is upper 160's) and I would super duper love to be lower. So I know I am fretting about a tiny weight gain but my time is short!!

Morning all! I cannot even explain to you how TIRED I am today. I am tired mostly every day, but today is extra bad. It is cold, too! Which makes it worse! I just wanted to stay in bed today! I have a short work day today, 9-11:30. I think I will go home and take a nap before I have my riding lesson at 3. Even though I am tired, I am looking forward to my lesson, which I usually burn 500 calories during that time, so that's good, especially since I pretty much had an OFF plan weekend, which carried over to Monday...I did keep up with my walking, though. I have been walking 4 times a week. The days I don't walk are Tuesdays, which is my riding lesson day, Thursday I work then go to job #2 waitressing at my parents restaurant, and Saturdays i go riding in the morning then waitress at night. So everyday that I can fit in walking, I do it. And I love it. It is the thing I have been able to stick to the longest, and most consistent. So hopefully my off plan weekend won't impact me too much, but it has me pretty scared to step on the scale!!
