Diana- My husband has been feeling sick! Sure hope I'm not coming down with something either!

Raven- Hope you're feeling better soon! That sounds painful. I'll keep my fingers crossed about the meds not causing weight gain! I need to go the the gyn and get back on the BCP but I'm dreading it because I think that contributed to a lot of my weight gain/cravings.

Thanks for the encouragement ladies . I won't let this take me off track and will do the best to get through this frenzy of dinners and lunch meetings to the best of my ability.

B - bit of orange juice watered down with water
L - a Vietnamese taco (all veg), a few bites of crab dip with a couple slices of bread and my ONE piece of Godiva chocolate cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory. It was HEAVEN, but I "only" ate 2/3 of it and didn't take the leftovers home
S - Latte
D - Pita with baba ganoush dip, few olives, pickles, and grilled chicken

Workout: 45 mins cardio plus a few Pilates exercises (would have loved to do more, but had to run to an appointment)

Weighed in at the same 264.0

Pint: Your daughter's costume sounds adorable.

Lindsey: Walking is still pretty painful on my knee but I may have to anyway. Not until I am feeling better today. I was so miserable today

Dianna: It's totally caused by the water. An infection in the outer canal is what it is. It hurts!

Cinci: Congrats on walking away from the cheesecake. I'm not sure I could! What is baba ganoush?

Raven: Hugs!! Hope you feel better!

The only plus side, is that my face is all swollen too so I can't open my mouth and eat much. Chewing hurts. Definitely keeps me from overeating!
Had to cancel class today and clinicals tomorrow. Talk about really sucking! I was supposed to stay late tomorrow and get my new care plan written out but will now have to go in on my own time! Bleh.

I'm going to bed. See if I can take something that will put me to sleep for a few hours and give my ear drops more time to work. I'm so whiny when I don't feel good! lol

So, while I don't really take a huge amount of stock in starvation modes, I have decided to bump my calories up 100-200. I do think I was aiming a bit too low at 1,000-1,200, especially given my weight and that I exercise every day. I guess I'll find out if it helps my metabolism at all.

Also, I've had a weird side effect to this weight loss journey. I've completely gone off coffee. I used to LOVE coffee. But, for some reason, the last couple of weeks, I can't stand the taste. I've switched to green tea and I'm much happier. I'm completely baffled as to what why. I used to rely on my early morning cup of coffee. But, I'm not complaining as I've gone from 60-120 calories in one cup of coffee to 0 for the green tea with splenda. I'll take it.

We also have a new Wii game called "Walk It Out". It was recommended by a lot of people who like Lesley Sansone. I tried it out yesterday and it was a ton of fun. I got to explore an island while walking to the beat of a song. I kinda acts like a pedometer and tells you how many steps you've taken, how long you've walked and (based on weight/height/age input) how many calories you've burned. My kids love it too!

Shells - I'm feeling ok this morning...my knee(s) have both been bothering me. I get cysts behind them from time to time (called a baker's cyst) and they kinda swell up and cause pain. I think one burst a few nights ago! It felt like water running down the back of the calf and then it got very painful. Better now but still sore...but I'm sore daily. Thank you so much! I love that picture too! I was practicing my look for Halloween (1940s pinup style) and took pics and I'm totally in love with that photo! I love that classic look...I agree, I sure wish I could get dolled up like that daily.

How are YOU doing Shells??

That wii game sounds so much fun!!!!!!

Hi Everyone

This weekend was very rough for me. Came down with a nasty flu that had me sleeping too much, not eating enough and not drinking enough. Luckily, I woke up this morning feeling better and was able to get myself out of the pj's and back to the daily grind.

Happy to report that my weight as of this moring is sitting at 188.6lbs! Went up just a little while I was sick back came right back down this morning.

Looking to get back to my normal eating and drinking so today will be my first day in 4 days of "real" food.

Here is the plan for Tues 10/26/2010

B - 2 slices whole wheat bread w/ natural peanut butter + 1 choc.soy pudding + 1 apple

S - Cucumber and carrot sticks w/ hummus

L - Barley casserole (1 cups worth) + 1 cup green beans + Ginger Ale

S - 1 banana + 5 Triscuits

D - 6 inch veggie sub, no cheese and sweet onion dressing + 1 bag jalpeno kettle style chips

Drinking: At least 2 cups green tea + 2L water throughout the day

Have a happy, healthy and OP day

So how are we all doing on our no Halloween candy pact? I haven't had a morsel I am happy to report although it's pretty easy because I haven't been around any yet. This weekend will be the true test when all that candy comes into my house.

Lauren - Sorry you were sick but good for you on the weight loss.
