Hi everyone. Food-wise I'm doing ok today, but everything else hasn't gone according to plan. I was hoping to do a workout DVD but my ankle brace has gone missing. I'm thinking my lil princess had something to do with it since I can't find it ANYWHERE. She's excellent at hiding things. She put my keys inside a toy pot, inside a toy oven and put it under her bed once.

My stomach feels better, but I think I may have found one thing that was causing me the problems: Dairy. I noticed that for the past 2 days, every time I eat dairy, within a few minutes I feel bloated and gassy-feeling. I had milk on my cereal this morning, and sure enough, I'm very bloated. I'm going to cut out dairy (cheese is gonna be hard) for a week and see if it gets better. If not, I guess I'll kick wheat next, since I eat that every single day.

I have a fitness evaluation tomorrow. I initially thought it was through the base gym, but it turns out it's through a private personal trainer company that works out of our gym. It's free, but I know they're going to try to sell me their overly-expensive workout plan. I'm sorry, but I don't need to pay $260 for 4 workouts a month. I'm very nervous about going. I hate being measured, weighed AND they're going to be testing me to see my general level of fitness, i.e. making me work out and seeing how long it takes before I have to stop, how much I can lift, etc. I'm dreading it, especially because she can't get me in until after 6PM (after a day of eating and drinking) but I need an official starting point.

Well, I'm going to get the daughter a snack, try to find my brace, and then head out for a walk.

That's awesome . . . sure makes my little 1/2 mile 6-7 minute run look like nothing.

Thanks Cincimini and BanSidhe. I was very excited about it - especially considering back in February 5 minutes of walking on a treadmill was about my limit. I think I could have ran more if it weren't for my asthma or if I actually had an inhaler.

Krampus Look at you! Awesome job on the exercise!

Lauren You go, girl! I'm cheering you on into the 180's! Can you tell us a little about your wedding plans. What style of dress are you looking at?

Vixsin Great job on the 1.4 pounds!

Ebenz Hi It sounds like you have a lot going on.

Pint I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. Ugh on having to eliminate foods. I'm kinda going throught that with that allergy of mine. I am just now healing my from last flare up last week. I dread trying the things I eliminated. Food allergies are a pain.

Kris I am no runner, either. I think you did great.

Kris: VERY awesome!

Cinci: Dinner sounds great

Ban: Awesome on making it the entire 60 minutes! What an accomplishment!

Krampus: Congrats!!!

Lauren: Yes it does! And congrats on being back down again!

Sarah: Welcome, we are always glad to see new faces! You weren't kidding on life being crazy! Mind if I ask what field you are in that you wrote a dissertation for?

Pint: I think my little princesses got a hold of my knee brace. sigh, aren't kids a joy? How old is your daughter? My twins are 9. We were studying nutrition yesterday in class and she was talking about how as we get older, we lose more of the lipase (i think lipase) that allows us to digest dairy easily

B: Special K
90

L: 2 chicken thighs, 6 strawberries, 1 pear and 1 100 calories oreo cakesters
459

Dinner: chicken cacciatore, whole wheat roll, green beans
844 (I wasn't sure about some of these things or how much so I figured the highest calories possible)

Total for the day: 1393
Exercise: 3 hours walking in clinicals, 3 hours standing

NSV today: I had a really bad day today. SUPER stressful and I was involved in a HUGE mistake (not my decision but someone made a wrong decision while I was with her and I thought it was wrong but didn't follow my gut, nothing bad happened luckily but it was AWFUL to even be involved, I still feel like crying). I came home pretty upset still. In the past, I would have taken my fork and spoon to help ease those feelings. This time, I wanted to go to the gym. That was pretty cool. I probably won't get a chance to, evenings are too hard to make it to the gym atm. I might make evening swim though. It's pretty cool to realize that my coping mechanisms are changing.

Today was... WHEW!

I've only eaten 929 calories, but I'm saving room for something later. Probably a fruit salad and some yogurt. (yogurt doesn't have that... enzyme in it that makes you feel crappy, right? or does that still count as dairy? gotta look it up...) I've been craving bananas, kiwi apple and mango all day!

I got in a GREAT workout at the gym tonight. 45 minutes of weights, 30 minutes on the elliptical. My arms... my legs... LOL. I also did 20 minutes of brisk walking earlier today with the lil one in the stroller. I picked up a gym schedule and they have Zumba every evening except for 2 nights a week. I'll be able to go! I absolutely LOVE Zumba. It's a very welcome change from the elliptical. I just have to make sure I take it easy on the ol' ankle. I've gotta find that brace!! A couple of very tiny women with lots 'o "work" done on them were snickering and pointing at me while I was doing leg squats. It took everything I had not to point at them in a very unfriendly and lewd way and give them a death glare, but instead I just turned up my music and focused on feeling my muscles work. Don't get me wrong, I would've LOOOOVED to see the expression on their faces if I HAD flipped them off, but with all the botox and collagen, I'm not sure I would've had much of a physical reaction.

Oh, and my little monsters are 5 and 2. My 2 year old is the one who pilfered my brace.

Hi Everyone!

Nicole Great job on your menu.

Roxanne Great job on the NSV. It sounds like you had a stressful day.

Pint Yogurt is dairy and has good bacteria in it. If you have problems with dairy it will probably create problems for you.
