Lauren Great job on the new low! I have heard that artificial sweeteners can cause problems with weight loss. Maybe that's a factor with you.

Default Applebees

I ate a cheese stick and a boneless buffalo wing last night at Applebees.

I did do the steak/portabello meal though, but those appetizers got me!

My husband ordered them without asking me, I guess he was assuming that I would eat all of them like I usually do---geez that's embarassing to admit.

How can I explain to my husband that I am on a diet when all he says is "you don't need to go on a diet!". I want to lose weight, and its hard with all the temptations that comes around with him! (The night before was a milkshake temptation)

heelp!

Instead of telling him you are on a diet, just say that you are trying to make healthier food choices.

Vixsin - woop!

dallas - hiya Sorry TOM is kicking your butt and sending internet, no-calorie chocolate

library - it's really hard when they do that isn't it, you'd think it would be great but when my SO says 'I'd love you at 20 stone' I think, but I would be unhealthy and sad at 20 stone, I want to be 10 stone. Then he cracks out the chocolate. He's getting better, he doesnt buy me any food anymore and encourages me when I'm bored but I wish he would say 'I'm going to love it when you're 10 stone because I will throw you around the...' etc

ebenz - Hi!

pint - I am indeed going for 1200 a day. I feel fine on that amount of food as long as my choices are filling and healthy. I also burn 800cals at the gym 4x week as I'm looking for a loss of 1.5 lbs a week until xmas

MamaP - I'll go have a look at the buisness name post

katylil - well done on resisting the scone, I love them!

Lauren - pleased to say woop in your general direction again - well done you! x

cincimini - yum

lindsey - yep, I love the haircut

raven - woooo, a new haircut...cool

roxanne - CONGRATS!!!!

quiet - welcome back hun

summer - well done resisting the candy

Diana - you are more than making it, you're flying down

Krampus - hiya ...yum, banana split *dribble*

shells - I love exercise for feeling better

I'm ok, still plodding on with my 1200cals a day. Gym tonight although I'm not feeling up for i, it's better than going on a Friday night when all I want is sleep
xx

library - I know it can be tough to stay away from certain things when your SO isn't on board with your decision to go on a diet but perhaps you could try a different apporach like, "This is not just a diet, this is a lifestyle change - we shouldn't be putting those things in our body regardless of whether we need to lose weight." AND what Mama said

LittleL - Yay! Oatmeal breakfast buddy!

Thank you abidabbi!

Indeed it may be.

It's something that I should definitely be more aware of. Turning to a vegan lifestyle has already made me take more notice of the things that I am putting into my body so drinks should be no exception.

Great job ladies!
Sorry, not much time for personals. I'm heading to the US tomorrow (wooohooo!!!) and am running around like a crazy person trying to pack. Doing last-minute laundry as always .

Anyway, still want to be accountable. So far I've had:

B - 2 slices Swedish crisp bread with cream cheese and jam, coffee with milk

L - 200g red currant yogurt (low-fat) with 4 tbsp of muesli, 3 dried apricots (and a thin slice of smoked tofu b/c I was still hungry )

S - 15 frozen grapes and a latte (not together though )

Planned for dinner: Chicken wings (still have them in the freezer and need to use them up) and salad, maybe a piece of fruit later

Didn't feel like going to the gym this morning. After 4 straight days on the elliptical, I'm getting bored and needed a break. Instead I went power walking for a good hour at a nearby nature reserve. It was amazing!!! I was the only person out there and I love being in the cold, crisp air (we had 35F this morning!). Definitely will do that again when I get back from vacation.

Ugh. Fail. Came back drunk from my Night Out with the girls and had noodles with gravy and tons of cheese (light cheese, but still...). Gah.

Been drinking water like a crazy person and did a ballet class today but ughhhh. So annoyed with myself!!

B: porridge (with water and a splash of skimmed milk), one crackerbread with light philadelphia cheese and a slice of ham
L: small portion of pasta with tomato sauce, tuna and light cheese (again: ARGH!)
D: (making up for the rest of the day...) one piece of chicken and tons of broccoli and peas, 2 WW yoghurt

Hope everyone's had a better day than me on the wagon!!

Lol, I love oatmeal. I was never a big fan. But now I love it! I get that strawberries and cream kind, apples & cinnamon. Awesome!

library I agree with the other ladies about this being a "lifestyle change". I think your DH will understand this idea/term better. People go on and off diets. A lifestyle change is different.

Lauren I am very proud of you for sticking with it. I know you have gotten frustrated at times, but you made it though the tough times. You have set a very good example for all of us.

Well ladies I probably shouldn't have stepped on the scale this morning (with TOM on his way today or tomorrow hopefully...) I weighed in yesterday at 166.6# and today I'm at 168.2!

I've stayed OP and have exercised every day! But, it's just annoying to see that number up I guess regardless of the "circumstances" (TOM on "his" way)...ehhhh.

When do you ladies notice the TOM gain (if any)? Up to a couple days before and after TOM?

Anyways, hope everyone is having a great day!!! Even though I saw the "gain" this morning I'm still OP and exercising. I changed my exercise plan from 5 times per week doing 20-30 mins of Pilates, 30 mins of walking to 5 times per week doing 40 mins of Pilates (20 am, 20 pm) and at least 30 mins of walking. I usually go walking on the weekends too but it's not "required. " Still sticking with 1200 cals/day...hoping to see 165 (or less! ) by next Wednesday (weekly weigh in). Hopefully TOM will have come and will be almost gone by then and so will the extra weight!
