Jezlyn, we must be related. ;) My extended family is the same way, though not quite so blatant about it. Thankfully mine are 8 hours away so we don't see them often. But boy does my anxiety flare up when I do! I'm looking forward to a wedding there in March and am really hoping to be at goal by then.

Oh, I hear you on that! I used to get so anxious that I avoided family gatherings. It's horrible, but now that my grandmother is dead, a lot of my anxiety is gone. She used to watch every bite I ate, then order me to do push-ups or jumping jacks in front of everyone. It was mortifying. And I seriously think she was a drill sergeant in a past life! I hope the upcoming wedding goes well for you, and your family reacts just the way you want them to!

I'm nowhere near my goal yet, but I know I will be the type that talks about my weight loss to anyone who'll listen. I don't think I would feel the least bit uncomfortable. Why should I?? This was damn hard work, not some fun cake walk--I'll be shoutin it from the rooftops!

What sucks is when someone asks if I've lost weight, and I haven't :o
I usually just say, "yes a little" or something like that. :)

When I actually have lost weight and someone notices it makes me feel good. I don't feel uncomfortable. I just say thank you and move on.
