Hey Diana, hey Girls!

I was a part of this thread about three or four months back, and then I went AWOL off the site as I was on holidays, had visitors over etc. Sadly I went AWOL off my healthy eating and exercise too but the past couple of weeks I've been easing back into it. Yesterday I joined a gym and thankfully my first workout wasn't too tough as I'd been doing occasional jogs and wii fit throughout the Summer.

I was terrified to step on the scales, and had been avoiding it for the past two months but I finally plucked up the courage tonight after work and THANKFULLY, praise the lord, I hadn't gained as much as I thought. A 10lb gain for three months of slacking off but I really thought it would be so much more so I'll graciously take that.

Anyway, really glad to be a part of this thread and will be updating daily.

Good luck! xx

my goal for this month is to actually get to the gym.
Mini goal: walk 5 kilometers a day, 5 days a week.
I am starting tomorrow, my dad is going with me. That's support alright! lol

abidabbi 09-01-2010 04:27 AM

Hi I'm here

Need to get back on with it though, I havn't lost a thing in a week...probably from lack of gym. Will be going tonight. Here's todays foods...

B - banana and a bowl of shreddies (300)
L - sushi, melon and a chicken bagel (450)
D - WW soup and two slices o' toast (300)

Total for the day = 1050 cal. Will aim to do 500 at the gym but maybe more...let you know tomorrow...

Yey for a September of losing weight! x

Krs, I liked the pictures you posted in the last thread. I can't say I have a clear favorite. What can I say? I like them all.

Cronopia, Welcome to the thread. Cute avatar. Yay, for Dads!

Cat, Welcome back.

My friend and quilting buddy of 8 years called yesterday, telling me that because of so many things in her life she didn't have time for me anymore. That is the condensed version, and there's more going on, apparently some of which I don't know about, but the bottom line is I only got to see her for a few hours a week at her house where she was distracted by her family. She set the limits of our relationship and I respected that, but I felt since that was all the time I was alloted she could give more of her attention. Cutting me out of her life isn't going to help with her other problems, and I didn't feel those three or so hours were too much to ask from her. So I'm left unhappy and confused, feeling like I've been dumped.

Penguin I'm so sorry to hear about the situation with your friend.

L R K 09-01-2010 09:14 AM

I am vowing to myself to make Sept a great month! I am going to stay OP! August was such an up and down month with no real progress so I really need and want to make a change this month. And I know I can do it with the support from you ladies!

Last night after soccer we went out to a pub for drinks and food. I was soooo tempted to get a beer but I resisted! And to eat I had grilled veggies on mixed greens with goat cheese and balsamic dressing on the side. Yum-o! So overall I think I did pretty well :D I am actually very proud of myself for not caving in to the beer. Yay me!

Here is my days eats 9/1/2010

B - 1 cup Nature's Path Bran flakes w/ Flax cereal with 1/2 cup organic soy milk + 1 cup mixed strawberries and blueberries

S - 1 banana + small salad with mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, radish and organic balsamic dressing

L - 2 slices WW multigrain bread w/ veganaise, broccoli sprouts, sliced cucumbers, radishes and tomatoes + 1 cup edamame (1 cup of the actual beans worth)

S - 1 peach + Kashi granola bar

D - Not 100% sure - but it will be healthy! Probably shrimp w/ avocado and broccoli sprouts or maybe a stir-fry with soy substitute... we'll see.

Drinking: At least 2 cups green tea + 2L water + 1 diet pepsi

Exercise: 30mins brisk walk with the dog

Have a happy, healthy and OP day!
