What on earth is with all the grease and gravy??? BLECH.

  • Maybe I'm just weird. Ok... I am weird. BUT... I look at all of these different meals that people (including myself) eat... and I'm absolutely disgusted by the amount of grease and gravy on/in it.

I had a lean cuisine (my first one... ) today, and... maybe it's just the one I ate... but over half of the meal was all gravy!

Do people REALLY eat that much gravy? I mean... one of my primary reasons for not going to this or that restaurant is because they use too much grease... but if I look at the big picture... the amount of grease they use is minimal compared to a lot of the other restaurants I don't regularly go to.

Has anyone noticed this? Or is it just me?
  • You're definitely not weird for thinking that....I agree. I can't believe how much grease is all around....I haven't noticed gravy all that much. Like when I eat soup, I don't see the point of oil floating in there. Yuck! I just want the soup to be fresh and nice and lean....so that's why I end up making it myself at home. If I do have to go out, I always tell them to use spray instead of oil and I always ask for any sauces on the side. Most places will accommodate. So what was the Lean Cuisine that you ate? I personally like their Panini's....although they're full of sodium. I used to eat them daily, but now, just once in a while. The point is that you never know what goes into your food unless you make it yourself.
