I'm working my way back but I just discovered Burger King Crispy tacos 2 for .99 I just looked them up at dotties and it looks like they are only 3.5 points each! So 7 pts for the 2 plus a salad is a doable meal! Hummmm.....this may work after all!
Well I gotta run and get us ready for work! I'll be back after work sometime this afternoon. I have a paper to write too so we'll see which wins first! TTFN Michelle |
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I read Tina's post earlier and I am still laughing! I had to PM her in the midst of reading it because I was laughing so loud, my dh, who was in the shower at the time could hear me and was wondering what was so funny! I guess you could say, Tina, that I was NOT offended by you "sharing" your intimate details with us! If they're THAT funny, keep 'em coming!
....oops...well, you know what I meant! We have just GOT to find a way to meet one of these days! Wouldn't that be a hoot? Lucky...if you figure out a way to drop 100# by December, let me know, OK? I'd love to wear a slinky black dress for New years! Atta girl, Tony! er...I mean 2cute! geez, it's catching... Sara, what a cool idea for your anniversary! We will celebrate our 20th next July...Actually, today would have been my dh's wedding anniversary if he married the first girl he was engaged to! I never let him forget it! Not because I'm mean...I always wanted to get married in October. (my favorite time of year) We picked July (yecchh...too hot) so that my in laws, who were both teaching at the time, would be able to come out to NJ (from CA) for a few weeks, without taking a lot of time off from work...damn nice of me, I think. I asked him if, when he was engaged to the other one, did she consider that option...Nope, not at all, it was their problem, she felt. (my sentiments exactly, but I wanted him to be happy.) Maybe that's why he dumped her for me...Hey, what can I say? I'm a giver! That's my crime! Lock me up! (That's a line from a movie whose title escapes me at the moment, Janene Garoafalo said it...) Wow...I am all over the place here! Focus, Kat! Now, where was I? Oh yes... Michelle...I'm glad to see that we bullied you back to the board! I always love reading your posts! Who the heck is dottie and where do I find her? Thin, you whirling dervish, you! Come back when you can. We miss you! Baylee...how is the hip holding up? And how was YOUR dentist visit? No lip snagged in the drill, I take it? Duckie... so? how many inches?? Of SNOW, of course! Get your mind out of the gutter, Tina! Mary, Steph, Miss Meliss? Helloooo out there... I missed my exercise this morning JUST to be with you girls! No, not really...I'm going tonight...to Curves while son is at karate, then possibly a Kickbox class at the gym...I may try a Pilates class... I saw that on the schedule...hmmm...gotta sleep on it...so I will say goodbye for now...parting is such sweet sorrow! later, kids... I'm killing myself here...when I re-read my post, I discovered a Freudian slip...I put, "farting is such sweet sorrow!" :faint:  :joker: |
Rainy Morning,
Good Morning,
Yeah, Tontoy and Sara on your loss, even though it's not much it's still a loss, I know how frustrating it is to be expecting a good loss, 4 or 5 lbs, and only getting 1 or 2. Hopefully next week all your hard work will give you a better pay off. I've been trying real hard this week, but I'm having a hard time at supper, I feel guilty sitting down and eating a regular meal, somewhere in the back of my head there's a little voice saying this isn't diet food, you can't have spaghetti or chicken dinner, where's the salad and rice cakes. I'm tring to cut down on the portions, and I know skinny girls sit down for a regular supper, I just feel like I'm not dieting if the food still tastes good, have to change my way of thinking. Haven't stepped on the scale yet this week, to check in to make sure I'm still on the right track, probably take a peek tomorrow morning. Haven't got any excersise in this week yet either, bein lazy and buzy, was going to do them yesterday, but hubby was being an *** and went to be early, and the VCR is in the bedroom so I didn't get to do WATP, will try to get started again tonight. How long is the WATP 2 mile and 3 mile tapes, the one mile is only 18 minutes goes by very fast, don't know if I would like to do anything longer. Sara your present idea sounds so cute, you guys sound like such a cute couple, I use to do things like that, when we first started going out, but never got anything romantic in return, I guess I can't be mad, not every guy is the romantic type. Actually he did come home from WalMart last week with a body pillow, you see I won't share a blanket with him at night cause I like to tuck it between my knee's, and snuggle up to the blanket. So I he figured he would get me the body pillow, and we can start sharing one blanket again. That's about as romantic as he get's. :D :D Tocute, good job maintaing and staying on program:D :D Well enough for now, check in later :dizzy: :smug: |
Kat you were posting while I was posting. No inches of snow, melted and now we have rain and lots of mud. By the end of the month we should have lots of snow, it never fails but on Halloween or the day before there's always a big snow fall.
Also dottie is a lady who has her own web page, dwlz.com She has tons of information on WW, and has loss lots of weight, good site for all those WW questions and points. Was that advertising, I hope not. |
Tina you are funny, I am still laughing myself. Have you ever thought about doing stand-up comedy! But Michelle I totally agree with her. I have really bad days and really good days. I think that being a person who is overweight is harder that being an alcoholic or drug addict.
I say that because when you goto work nobody offers you a drink or some cocaine! But their is a huge donut with about 800 calories sitting there, and dont drive anywhere, there are signs everywhere, turn on the TV there is a pizza hut add. We are consumed with food, their is no escape! It is a daily struggle to not overeat for me well make that an every 30 minutes struggle. I think about food about 20 times a day! We will get through it, dont beat yourself up about it. I love the fact that everyone here encourages each other. That is so important. I dont know if any of you watch Oprah, but tomorrow her trainer Bob Greene will be on talking about weight loss and stuff, I think there will even be some success stories on. Have a great day! |
Kat check out dottie at dwlz.com and click on the side where it says restaurants and then arrow down to your favorite and click on it and you will get the points for the foods they serve!!!
Gotta run...just got home and have to do the dishes, throw in a load of clothes, fold the whites, pick up toys, read my paper and then start my English essay before I can play on here! TTFN Michelle |
G'day my lovely chickies!
I'm excited about giving hubby his first anniversary gift today. In case anyone didn't catch it, our 5th "Dating" Anniversary is today and Monday is our 2nd WEDDING Anniversary so I bought my hubby (Reg) 5 gifts (getting progressively bigger) for each day in between, starting today at dinner! The first one is REALLY small (had a budget) but fun. Don't want to say what it is yet though in case Reg SOMEHOW sees this post.
Is anyone getting bored because I've said the same thing in my last three posts?! I'm just EXCITED! :) Tontoy... OMG! I've always thought things were put into better perspective when overweight dieters were compared to alcoholics! It always infuriates me when someone who KNOWS I'm dieting says "It's REALLY good... just have a little" in that kind of singy, tempting voice. This doesn't happen often but when it does....grrrr. Would someone say to a recovering alcoholic, "Just have a sip of this wine... it's delicious!" NO. THEY WOULDN'T DARE! Why don't people understand that being obese (in my case, I was morbidly obese) is JUST as life altering/threatening as being addicted to alcohol! Grrr... Duckie... You know what? I've ALWAYS loved food and that goes for right now too! I COMPLETELY look forward to meal times! I still love experimenting with new, yummy recipes! Don't feel guilty about eating "tasty" food! If you're eating OP, then enjoy! A variety of tasty, HEALTHY foods is one of the main components in many successful diets. SO ENJOY! :judge:  Okay. Gotta start getting dinner ready. I know it's early but I have four piano students coming shortly and I wanna have everything set to go for right after I'm done! I'll be around though... so post! :) Sara :) |
Thanks, Michelle!
Wow! What a great site! I checked out Dwiz.com...scanned through some of my favorite restaurant's dishes...what an eye opener. For instance, the last time we were at Chili's, I ordered the veggie/cheese quesadillas (yum, BTW) They cost me 24.5 points!!! (Not that I was counting the last time I was there)...or my beloved cheddar/garlic biscuits from Red Lobster...3.5 points each! Which doesn't sound too bad, if you're only having ONE! (like THAT'S possible!) I was scanning Burger King's list, thinking I may have to resort to that for dinner for the kids tonight...but decided an omelet is a quick, low point, higher nutritional value choice...for all of us. It's just too easy to pull up to the old drive thru window sometimes.
Anyway, thank you, Michelle, for sharing a great web site...I think I've seen that site before, but I never saw the restaurant info...Dottie is now a member of my favorites list..... Hey! With all my ramblings, I forgot to mention that I lost 2 more pounds! for a total of 8 lbs in two weeks. Excuse me a minute... :cb:  :cb: :D :hat: :strong: :cp: :dancer: :goodvibes OK, I'm back! Well...I really have to get moving...need to round up kids for their various destinations, and get my butt over to exercise. Ooh! My sis in law just called, said she and my brother have tickets to an off Broadway show for Sunday. Dh is working, (so am I for that matter) so at first I said no, but the more I thought about it, i decided that I should do something fun to reward myself, so I'm going...there! it's settled. I deserve it! Really must run now. Have a good night, chickies! |
Kat, you go girl....you are inspiring me to get my butt moving too. When do you want to chat ??? Is Saturday night the best time for you?
Baylee, no snowplow man... didn't have any snow on the ground here. (over the man NOT the snow part) You all seem to be doing good...during the week I just run out of time...well, until it snows and then I won't have so much to do outside. Congrats to the losers...I will be joining you shortly. Anyone else up for a chat this weekend???? :?: It is fun...Sweetpea chatted last weekend but I haven't seen her post here ?????? Hope you are okay! :grouphug: |
Saturday chat sounds good...I don't have any plans...so far. Dh is off Sat, so I don't know if he anything in mind...like the BIG AND TASTY MENU perhaps? ;) ;)

A late night quickie!
So my anniversary surprise for my hubby went over well; Reg was tinkled pink over my little surprise present tonight and the little card explaining that his presents would be "growing" over the next five days! :) Today's present was REALLY small... a box of Kinder Surprises all wrapped up; I used to leave them on his pillow or beside his computer when we were dating so they're kinda nostalgic for us!
A friend of ours came over after dinner and we rented "Enough"; that movie with J-Lo where she's being stalked by her husband. It was pretty good... very much girl-powerish! We all chatted until the wee hours of the morning. (This explaining why I'm posting at 3 a.m.) :o Kat... Woohoo! Congrats on 2 more pounds! That's amazing! Was today your "official" WI day or do you just WI every once and a while? I KNOW my scale is gonna say good things next WI (it's already showing a loss since my WI) but I'll wait to tell you guys until next Wednesday! BTW, I had a FEELING those cheese/garlic biscuits were a no-no! They're WAY too good! I'm glad now that I only had one last time we went! Hi to everybody else! There's a few newbies that have disappeared... Shells, Sweetpea, where ARE you guys? TTFN Sara :) |
