yes, I just FINALLY went from a 14-16 to a steady 12. It was about 20 lbs and I'm at the lower end. I think I would be happy when I get to 8, but there are so many factors. My arms fit better into clothes, BUT, they still look pretty heavy to me (up by the shoulders at least) so I need to lose all over to keep going down I think.
I also lose VERY slowly, (I started last December, so about 2 pounds per month) so I expect it will be a while before I go down to a 10. I just bought a new fall wardrobe to celebrate the losses I have made, so maybe the next big shop will be for spring!
GOod luck, and may the sizes just fall off your body!

Just chiming in. I totally understand. I started out in a 24-26 pant. After 40 lbs lost (seems to be a popular #!), I'm now in a comfy 22 just beginning to get a tad baggy. I can't wait to get back to an 18 (and lower of course). I think I was around 260-270ish when I wore an 18 before. On the way up, though, I hadn't had babies yet so I fully expect to have to be at a lower weight to get there. When I met my now husband, I weighed about 205-210 and wore a 14! I'm really interested to see when I hit that size again, lol. I can only dream about the lesser difference between smaller sizes (12 & under) because I can't remember being those sizes...

I'm so happy to see this discussion! I'm having a serious love/hate relationship with clothes right now. I started out in 22/24 bottoms. I seem to be loosing weight all over but slower in my belly, 4 kids and my abs are just shot. I have lost inches though because 18s fit good now. 20s are baggy but doable. Anything bigger literally falls off. I'm down almost 30lbs though, and just a couple sizes. Grrr! I don't know if I should buy some 18s or just hold out a little longer until I can fit into a 16. I hate spending money on clothes but I don't like looking like a slob either. Hardly anything I own fits anymore. I'm really in a buy vs wait stalemate.

I can't wait to get out of plus sizes. That is one of my major goals. I don't have a set goal weight, more like things I was to achieve and that's on the list.

I am about to drop a chunk of change and invest in good running shoes. I jogged 3.09 miles yesterday (yes, the .09 is important!! LOL!). I've earned good shoes.

I think that, in the beginning, it took a while before I moved out of my 26/28s. But then I fell into a steady pattern that I'm still in where every 20 pounds=1 size. Annoying? maybe. but at least it is predictable. I've made my peace with it lol

One thing I've noticed before and now is that just like LiliK says actually the beginning of weight loss from such a high weight is not even noticeable until your a huge amount down. When I lost weight before nothing really changed about my shape or my figure. I just looked like a smaller version of the big me. It can get very frustrating but unless you keep plugging at it and try to look past the sizes and (my sizes haven't changed much either. I can fit my 24s, and 22s comfortably now instead of busting out of all my clothes) and keep trekking through it will change.
We all want to see quick progress like the biggest loser and the success stories here on 3FC but in reality it just takes hard work and perseverance to continue plugging away until you see the changes in the sizes then work harder. We can do it sis!
