now that I rarely have periods, I don't get the fluctuations I used to, but it wasn't unusual for me to gain 5-8 pounds before my period,a nd it wouldn't come off until after my period. And if I was able to keep to plan, I would "magically" have lost weight during my period and be lower than ever. If monthly weights would have been enough, I could have just weighed a few days after my period ended.
With pcos, you may have even move flux as a result of hormones than others have.
its ok, you can ride it out. good luck!

Can you weigh less often? I find it's a truer measurement of what I'm doing to well, take my measurements. Even if the scale doesn't move many times you will see your waist has gotten smaller, etc.

LOVE this!!!!!!:D:D

I needed that today and I am ready to make that kind of commitment!

Oh man you guys are just SO great! I feel so empowered and committed once again after all of your encouraging posts.
I love the year committment. I feel I should have that mindset. Just one year! They go by so fast anyway.
I am back down again today, so whatever was causing it seems to have gone which I'm glad. I really think it was sodium because I felt so bloated too!
I cannot thank each of you enough for taking the time to write to me.... :D

The simplicity of the year thing really took me by surprise. I am continuously amazed at how easy it is.

Setting out there that I had 100 pounds to lose seemed infinite and therefore would take an infinite amount of time for me to lose it...as it in never. By putting a cap on the amount of time it would take I was able to make some major mental shifts and therefore be successful.

I no longer see myself losing 100 pounds in a year but it's amazing how much I will have lost. And now that the year is almost up this lifestyle is pretty automatic. There is no going back. ;)

That's just a brilliant observation!

how often do you weigh? try not to stress the scale too much, i try to weigh in once a week only, sometimes I get overly anxious and sneak a peek early but I record it once a week - because your body changes daily due to water etc.

BTW i too have to deal with the b**ch PCOS lol She has caused me pure anguish since I met her, so I totally feel your pain!

9 yrs ago I was 145 and i hope to someday see those #'s on my scale once again
