Preparing to weigh myself post vacation!

I just got back from a 5 day vacation at the beach. I'm REALLY scared of weighing myself. I didn't splurge on anything except the last day (in which case, I REALLY splurged.) I pretty much had a day's worth of food in one (delicious) meal. I'm mostly worried because I was 151.5lbs when I left last week, which is less than two pounds from my first goal. I really wanted to continue losing weight and get over the 150s. I need to stop overreacting! AHHh!

Hey it's ok. I was on vacation last month. I got home, and of course weighed myself. I had gained 11 pounds. It was gone in three days. Don't freak out! If you gained a little it will likely come right back off!

It seems like the really fast gains go away fast as well. Good luck!

it's a good thing you're weighing yourself! it shows you have accountability and owning that you did slip up, but it's not the end of the world. NOT weighing in would be a bad choice.

Good for you!

Okay, I finally sucked it up and weighed myself. I'm at 152lb right now and I generally weigh in the mornings, SO this means I more than likely LOST weight...ON VACATION.

Also, therex, I vowed to weigh myself when I got back. It was part of the reason why I watched myself pretty closely during vacation. It was partly making myself accountable and partly because I really wanted to know if I was doing things right on vacation so that I could learn for next time.

YAY!!! This is fantastic! Good for you to jump right back on that scale. Never be afraid of it! The thing is, YOU control that number--the scale doesn't.

BAM! So take that SCALE!

HalfHazard, I am so impressed! I just got back from a week at the beach. I only stayed on plan one lousy day! Awful. I will weigh in "officially" tomorrow morning, but I couldn't resist and snuck a peek this afternoon -- up 2 pounds. I'm hoping at least one of them will be gone by tomorrow morning... and then I'll have to deal with the other one.

I did stick with my exercise -- it was easy because my toddler was up early every day, so it made sense to stick him in the jogger and go for a run! Thank goodness for that.
