Smile When does weight loss show?

I know its different for everyone. Im just curious when it normally starts to show for bigger people? I've lost 14 so far. My clothes are a little looser but not by much. Just curious

Well, I've lost 50 pounds and I still don't think it shows much. But that's probably because I'm still mostly wearing big ol' baggie t shirts. Getting a new bra helped some so now the t shirts don't sag all over quite so much.... I think different clothes would show more but t shirts are my work uniform and pretty much what I live in and I refuse to buy smaller ones when I still have a pile of perfectly wearable 2XLs in the drawer.

I've lost 25 and the only ones who seem to notice are those who don't see me very often. I only kind of noticed, but I also took pics when I started so I could see how my body changed. When I saw those pictures, wow! I hadn't looked at them in awhile, it's a big difference!

I'll be posting them when I hit 169, as that will be a 25 pound loss, in the mini goal forum.

Take pictures of your journey to show yourself where your going You don't realize it until you see them side by side!

It took about 20 pounds for me (lost two years ago). My face slimmed down a bit, and my coworkers started asking for my secret... :-)

It was a while ago, but I believe it was about 50 pounds down till it was noticeable.

It's worth the wait. Because when those rewards (& compliments) start surfacing - it's incredulous!

Keep going, keep continuing on - NO STOPPING - and there's no way that it won't be noticeable and there's no way that you won't meet each and every one of your goals.

Strange isn't it? I gained about 7lbs recently and people kept asking me how I have put on so much weight. I got serious about it and have since lost the 7lbs pls an additional 3lbs and......silence! No one says anything (except my BF who didnt say anthing when I gained but has been complimenting me since my loss :-) ).

I noticed at about 20lbs. However, my shape changed really quickly, so that was more noticeable than the weight loss

I would really, really recommend you go to Goodwill or the Salvation Army and spend $5 on 4 XL t-shirts and 1 Large t-shirt. It is so motivating to get into clothes that fit--and baggy clothes frustrate me, because after a while they don't get any MORE baggy, you know? So you don't see yourself changing.

People notice long, long, long before they say anything because they want to be sure you are losing weight. So whenever someone finally asks if you have lost weight, assume they started wondering at least a month ago.

My favorite comment came from a woman who kept asking what I had done to my hair. I was thinking "If you know someone that can give a haircut that makes a person look 70 lbs thinner, PLEASE give me her number!"

I was around the same weight as you when I started and I would have to say around 50 pounds or so people started to notice. But I probably started to notice at least 20-30 pounds down. One thing that really helped me stay motivated was taking pictures and comparing them.
