I think the larger you are the longer it takes for others to notice. And it also depends on how you dress also- if you wear baggy clothes and they just get baggier it's harder to notice.

I know for me when I lost about 20 lbs people started to notice.

It was around 30ish lbs for me.

I definitely agree that wearing the same clothing is a big factor in that - I was in all of the same stuff until then, and some of it I'm still wearing now. But I also just bought a few things a size down, and started to get more comments even though I haven't lost much, if anything, in the past few weeks.
