Stay the course?
I've been getting really impatient with these last 10lbs, but I was looking at my weight loss records and I'm pretty much losing at the same pace I have been for the last 6 months so I really just need to stay the course. But I know I could make some fine tuning to my plan, I'm just not sure it's worth it. I could start tracking my nutrients, but I'm already so OCD about this stuff I think I'd go insane. I could cut my cals my 100/day but I'm already zig zagging and I'm pretty hungry on my lower cal days. I could increase my exercise, but that scares me because I work out a lot as it is and more might require more cals. I run 4xs/wk, walk 1x/wk and strength train 2xs/wk. I was considering adding two more run days on the days I'm strength training. I can't add anymore strength training because I only have time on certain days and only have access to the gym in the afternoon. But adding more cardio just sounds like too much doesn't it? So I really just need to stay with what I've been doing just 6-8 more weeks - I can do it!

I think you answered your own question ;)
Just hang in there!!! I'm right there with ya. |
ncuneo, you so can do this! Relax and enjoy how great you are feeling. Get outside and enjoy the summer, enjoy friends and family too! Live life--that's what this is all about. :)

What you have done already is nothing short of amazing. If you are comfortable with the plan, and it is working, why change it? In 5 years, will it matter if you take three months instead of one to lose the last 10 lbs?
I vote to just keep it the way it is since it seems to be working already. Your progress is quite an inspirarion! Barb |
I am a firm believer in never doing more than you can continue to do over the long term. Don't burn yourself out on exercise to lose those last ten pounds. Don't cut your calories further. Just keep on keepin' on: it's worked for you beautifully.
