I've been lurking here for a few days and this seems like a really great place to get support and support others on the way to a healthier life.

I've been "the fat girl" all my life and I'm sick of it! I used to be 212 lbs but a few years ago I maneged to get down to 180 lbs. I feel I've been stuck here for a long time and really want to do something about it now. I don't want to miss out on life just because I feel bad about the way I look. My goal is to lose 35-45 lbs before Christmas.

I hope I can use this place to keep myself motivated and on track!!

That is a very doable goal. Find a sensible eating plan, strength train and get some light card in, and I imagine you'll be looking fabulous by Christmas if you dedicate yourself to your plan

Welcome. Since Chicks can be overwhelming at first, I suggest you look for a support group or challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated. Find one you like that fits your needs, or inspires you, and just post to join.
