Jees...I haven't been gone long have I? I got to work just to have the owner come in and say...I don't feel like working this weekend so I'm closing the store and everyone can have a long Holiday weekend...which means to say she meant..."I don't feel like working" and "I don't feel like paying all you people Stat Holiday Pay for Monday"...the cheap ole B**ch....when I owned my own business it was a 24/7 thing...if you are the owner...you never really get days off uless you are so rich that you can hire enough people to do ALL the work for you....go figger...so I'm kinda happy that I finally have a long weekend...but I'm POd that my boss is getting out of paying us stat pay....oh well....such is life...I think it's time for me to go back into business for myself....

You go hotsplashes! What kind of business? Im into photography and graphics. I would put my website up but i wonder if i would be booted off for advertising. Its hard marketing yourself. the hardest thing for me is asking for money. However respect your work cause its a gift and is worth money.
Yea i cant wait for tonight just lookin forward to resting. I am suppose to meet a guy tomorrow. Blind meetings are the worst. you really never know what to expect. HOwever as many miserable meetings i have had im still willing to try again.
Well over and out.

Hellooooo there!!
It's FRIDAY!!!! How could I not check in with you????
I'm writing you from the office of my girlfriend in California! We went online to check the weather in Lake Shasta and I thought I'd pop in to say "HI!!".
So far, vacation's been a blast - eating out almost every day, but I discovered Curves!!! My girlfriend's been going for one month now and on Wednesday they did her 1 month stats - she's down 19.5 inches!!!!! I absolutely loved going with her and will be checking into the prices and times of the one close to my home...
So, ta for now, time to start packing for the houseboat tomarrow. I miss you all bunches and look forward to reading all the posts that I've missed when I get back!
Hugs,
 Punkin o' Friday

Thanks for the support, ladies. Actually, I think today was one of the wildest I've had in years. I got up at 5:15 this a.m., slugged a Slimfast and took off for Grandparents Day in the dark and in the rain and knowing I'd hit a high traffic time. I had not planned to do this, just started doing it when I woke up figuring I'd see how far I'd get before I wised up. I called dd when I was halfway there and she said "What, are you crazy? Turn around and go home". I said, "No, I'm this far and I'm coming. Put directions on the door". She got someone else to take dgd to school and waited for me. The one hour forty five minute trip took two and a half but I made it to G. D. The look on dgd's face made it worth it but I told them not to count on my doing it again. Spent a short time with them at home and headed back, still in rain and traffic but at least daylight. And of course, there was another shooting today (more south than I was) but dd was all concerned about me heading back north by myself.
I think the SCARY thing about all this is that I'm usually much more together about stuff. Can't remember ever doing anything like this so spontaneously. At least not for many years. I usually measure pros/cons and make good decisions (well maybe not about food). Don't know if I want it to become a habit or not.
So my BIG PLAN for the weekend is to veg with dh tomorrow and try to get some semblance of order back in our life. Sunday I'm going to a fashion show by a local club. I usually look forward to these things, then am bored to bits while I'm actually there. Maybe this one will be different.

Scary Saturday ....
WOOOOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOO!!!!! Everyone is doing FRIGHTFULLY WELL in this Scary Halloween Challenge and there are approximately two weeks to go, so more are bound to leave the dark and scary Halloween forest. Hooooooooray!!! Today IS the first day o' the rest of our Halloween lives, so let's go out there and kick some serious outta here!!!!! Let's wave the magic wand and say, "Hocuspocusfocusfocus!!!!" (Thanks for the idea in your journal of running that together, Babette/Arabella, I need that on a T-shirt!.)
Updated roster is below with new LOSSES by Hotsplashes and Jadcie. However, when Hagometer changes this, she sometimes loses earlier updates, so if anyone is missing, will they be so frightfully kind as to post and the Hagometer will correct the list. She can't see all the posts anymore, so isn't sure.
HOOORAY FOR ALL WHO HAVE LOST!!!! HOOORAY ALSO FOR THOSE WHO HAVE REMAINED CONSISTENT IN THEIR PLAN AND LIVES AND ARE OVERCOMING CHALLENGES EACH AND EVERY DAY!!!!!!! That's how we get to the destination, one step at a time, saith Hag!!!!
Punkin o' Friday!!! Thou soundest as though thy vacation beith a blast! Thankee for thinking o' thy dark and scary forest chums and posting yesterday. Curves has always kind of interested me, too, but the ones here keep closing, so I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to trying it.
Anagram: It's cool thee was able to get to Grandparents' Day. Stay safe, though. Doing things spontaneously is really a good thing, IMHO. Kind of adds cinnamon and pepper to a nutritionally sound life, in my view. Hope you enjoy your vegging out and fashion show and that it is a non-boring show!
Scoooooby! Hope your blind meeting goes well. It's great to keep expanding your social horizons ... and I also admire you for having your own business. You will succeed, the Hag predicts, in whatever you do!!!
Hotsplashes: What an unkind thing for your boss to do, doing you out of a day's pay because SHE didn't feel like working. You should at least have received some compensation for getting up, getting dressed and going in. Good for you for thinking of starting up in business for yourself. You'd be great doing that, as you seem a most determined person in general. Keep going!!!
Eydie: Wooooo-hooooooo!!! Thou beith amazing to be able to work around food all day and sticketh to thy plan!!! I wonder, too, about why whenever I get a bit of success on the weight front, I have a binge. Could it be physical? The body getting nervous that I might be planning to starve it? My self-sabotage always seems to be related to work, though. Dunno.
Dollar: Enjoy your peaceful weekend. Sounds like you are doing great and are in steady state!!!
Jadcie! That's good news about qualifying for the surgery. You are really on the path o' determination and will reach your destination in great health and spirits; the Hag sees that in the crystal ball!!!
TO ALL HALLOWEEN CHALLENGERS!!!! STAY THIS SCARY SATURDAY FOR WE WILL PREVAIL AGAINST EVIL BINGE DEMONS, CHIP CHOMPING, FOCUS STEALERS, AND ALL MANNER OF BAD PRE-HALLOWEEN HABITS!!!!
HOCUSPOCUSFOCUSFOCUS!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOO! Booooo !!!!!!!!

Good Morning Ladies. Hope everyone is armed for battle of the bulge this weekend. Seems weekends are harder sometimes as we are on less of a schedule and just grab a bite whenever and wherever we are. I am working this weekend so it will be easier for me. However, the girl work with on weekends weighs in at over 450 and eats all weekend long and usually grabs candy to bring in a share. Thank you very much. Well, I will just have to be strong. Have a great weekend. Remember thin is in.

Oooops, HS!!!! The Hag will correct the official roster ... or we could just keep it that way, since thou art bound to lose the FIVE !!!!
Jadcie, might Hago venture a suggestion? Take a huge supply of something low cal and healthy to share with thy weekend partner ... maybe she'll either take the hint or join you in the battle!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion. Last time I took mini nacho cheese rice cakes. She helped me eat them and then went on to eat her goodies too. Oh well, I can only hope she brings something I dont like. I always go armed with low fat items but sometimes the urge is awful strong. Thanks for the suggestion. Have a super skinny day!!!

Hi folks,
Well I know Im having a good week staying in my point range with points banked but I think I set my goal for Halloween a little high. With only a few weeks left and still nine lbs to get to the goal I set I just don't think I will make it. Am i disappointed? no not at all because I know Im staying on track and I feel really good about that. My biggest challenge will be the week after this one coming up. Why you ask... well the lady that works the days I don't is on vacation that week and I will be working7 days straight. I know it isn't long days just 4 hours but I worry that I try to get by with quick meals all the time. Whatever shall I do...Well for starters I will not whine about it and secondly I will plan ahead so that the meals are already made or I will know exactly what I intend to make. I WILL BE STRONG. I WILL CARRY ON. I WILL STAY ON TRACK. I WILL SCARE THESE POUNDS AWAY.

Like you, dollar, I'm SCARED I set my goal too high. I was sailing along on smooth water when I set it but have run across rough seas lately. However, I feel good anyway because clothes are getting looser, etc. Yesterday I put on a pair of slacks I had not worn since spring. Not only are the pants way baggy but the belt moved in two notches. I suspect many things I had planned to wear this fall will fall into the "baggy" category but that's fine with me. Been a long time since anything was too big for me.
250/231.8/225 Halloween challenge goal/????

Like you, Anagram, my clothes are fitting better and I'm thrilled about that! I'll weigh myself at some point this coming week to see if I've lost anything. I'm feeling VERY positive right now and feel very confident in this faithful old body of mine. Hope it lasts!
Dollar, planning is everything. I always feel more secure when I pack my own healthy food, otherwise I'll cave in to temptation. You can do it!
Speaking of feeling secure--all you wholesale/bulk queens, I'm right there with you! Makes me feel so well off to have huge amounts of good food in the house. My friends make fun of me relentlessly. I was in my glory a couple of years ago planning for Y2K! I was almost disappointed when nothing happened--almost, that is!
