Angry Heelllpppp!!!

Ever since my mom came for a visit I have been neglecting working out and craving food more. What tips do you have for getting back on the boat?

You already know the answers...just get back on track. Not sure why your mom makes you want to eat and not work out, but you have to take care of yourself...for YOU.

Is your Mom still visiting or is she gone? If she's gone, you just have to make yourself do it. If she's still there, maybe there are some activities like walking that you could do together?

She's gone, I feel like she's a bad influence on me.. she's struggled with weight since her 20's.. She lost alot of weight a year or 2 ago... and gained it back.. When she visits she doesn't restrain herself and she's always talking about trendy diets.. I love her but it's hard for me to be around her when I am trying to do this. I definitely agree with you guys though, I do need to just do it I will do so tomorrow.

It helps me to remind myself that every decision counts not every day. What I mean by that is that it's easy to have one slip up in a day and let that turn into a whole terrible off plan day. But there is a huge difference in one mistake (missing a workout, or eating a bad meal) vs. having an entire bad day. A big difference.

So I try to view success as the cumulation of dozens of little decisions each day. I know that some of them will not be optimal, I know I will fail in some, but the good decisions should drastically outweigh the bad.

Get out a pair of your fat jeans and try them on. Remember when they used to be tight? Do you *really* want to go back to wearing them?

If you have something you wish you could wear but can't quite fit in to it yet... put those where you can see them - perhaps stapled to the front of your fridge....

And if your mom left anything tempting behind - take it to work and give it to your co-workers.

You've come so far and done so well. You CAN do it!

The image of a dress stapled to the front of a fridge made me giggle!

Quite frankly, I don't like statements such as "I will do it tomorrow."
That never works and usually only leads to further procrastination (I would like to stress that this is based on my PLENTIFUL experience)!

What wait till tomorrow. It is only 11:19 a.m. (Eastern). There is still plenty of time left in today. Do it TODAY.
