Hey Tina...did I send you the picture of my two favorite men standing in front of the LOWE'S RACE CAR??? I have it as my wallpaper on my computer screen! I love it!
Well I made it through my orientation. Now I have to go back tomorrow to get my financial aid card so I can charge my books at the book store to my fiancial aid account. Books are so darn expensive...and wouldn't you think they would have them ready tonight since it was a major orientation program they had going on tonight. Now we all have to make a special trip back to the school to get our books! Like we have nothing better to do with our time...but you can bet since my books will be free I will make the time! Greedy thing I am! All my life I have been denied any kind of help because we were never below the poverty line and finally once in my life I can get my school paid! Now I can B*tch about it anymore! LOL Oh well...my little guy just fell asleep and John is on his way home so I should go get our stuff ready for work tomorrow! Thin...I am really proud of you! You are learning self control...something I have none of these days! Don't you feel good about yourself now? I love those PRIA bars! They taste so much better than those weight watchers bars! But...now you have me curious about those peanut buster parfaits...have to go check one out and see!! OK I'm outta here now! TTFN Michelle |
Way to go Thin.....JUST SAY NO!!!!!
I have been in a funk and needing to baby myself.:bb: I don't really know what it is from - everything....nothing...:chin: So, I will go and read about romance, love, sex, that perfect man....(just a reminder I would rather be in and doing these things rather than reading about them...so come on girls ) :goodvibes :genie: I know you can do it for me.... I WILL be better tomorrow!!!!!! Thanks for listening....:soap: |
Hey guys! I got some good news this afternoon after I posted. DH told me that he can sleep in on Thursday morning because he has an interview for that job he really wants. WooHoo!!!! It's a half an hour drive closer to home and in a direction which I would love to move to and still be fairly in the area for my mom. Soooooo, you all start sending those 'new job' vibes :goodvibes: to the powers that be for me/him.....pleeeeeeese!
LuckyLadyBug: I'm trying to 'Just Say NO'. I've gotta do better at it though. One day will not a weightloss make, but I guess I gotta do it one day at a time. Pull it together. We can BOTH do this!!! Michelle: Don't you dare :nono: go try those Peanut Buster Parfaits. You will be hooked and it is NOT a pretty sight!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!! Mary: I'm sorry you and your son had it out! It's really hard when our grown children make no effort. I'm just a little lenient with mine because they're trying to finish up their degrees, but once they're out of college, it's off to work they go. Tina: I think you did pick the right smilie for the booby squeeze. :yikes: I agree with you that racing is really a sport, I have no argument there. I'm just not much for sports of any type, I guess. The only time I can get into it is when DH gets tickets for the company suite at the arena. Then it's fun to go watch whatever: basketball, hockey, etc. DH has offered to take me to the track, but me and the heat don't get along so well, so I always decline. J-ann: How do you get the little smilie that looks like it's eating a hamburger? That one is so cute and I can't find it on the smilie code list. I had to go back to the last thread to find out who posted it. * Hope the vet was able to help your pup. [[[hug]]] Gotta run. Time for bed. |
G'evening Ladies!
Hi all!
I have to admit--I've been pretty spoiled this summer. My plan was to teach piano part-time for now so I'd have time to gain the volunteer experience I need to get into graduate school. My last volunteer position (at a local school working with kids who had social/emotional issues) ended in June. I wanted to start volunteering on the crisis lines at the local Sexual Assault Support Center right after that but it turned out that the next training session didn't start until September. Whew! All that said to say... I'm supposed to be attending my first session there in a couple of weeks. I'll have to undergo about 40 hours of training before I'm able to actually DO anything. It should prove really interesting. Our training includes talking with doctors, nurses, lawyers, police officers, etc... But for now... freedom! :) Everything is peachy keen on the diet front--other than the fact that I'm a scale-oholic! I'm SOOO glad I started dieting this spring! I'm almost half-way to goal! Something that's been bothering me though... I hate it when ppl say "Don't call it a diet--you're changing your eating habits permanently and that's not a diet!" I, personally, disagree. If that's what worked for them, great! But me, I'M DIETING. I'm going to be eating differently when I'm MAINTAINING then right now when I'm CLEARLY dieting. My problem is just with people that say to someone who's struggling to diet "Well, your problem is that diets don't work. You need to change your LIFESTYLE." They sound so know-it-all-y.:p I subsribe to the belief of "To Each Their Own" and if what you're doing works, and is healthy, then ALL THE POWER TO YOU! Just had to get that out! Thin... Good job kicking the fat-shoulder-sitting-devil-of-temptation's ***!!! Did that last sentence make sense?! Thin & Baylee... Yikes! Those registration fees are high! There ARE other groups out there (isn't there one called TOPS) that are less expensive but I guess people just have to figure out what works for them. Paying a couple of hundred bucks to WW is NOTHING if it gives you the motivation and tools you need to lose weight! That's priceless! Lucky... Hope you're feeling better. {{{HUG}}} I remember being lonely and it's no fun! Michelle... I'm SO happy you posted! Hope all goes well with school. I know what you mean about books being expensive. I paid about $1000 Cdn a year on them when I was in university. That's A LOT for students who live on macaroni and cheese and share houses with 5 other people! Glad you're getting help this time around. Mary... Sounds like you didn't have such a great day! Hope you feel better soon. Feel free to vent here! :) Tina... Your "Tony Room" reminds me of those teenagers 10-15 years ago who had the "New Kids" plastered over all their walls! I'll admit it though-Tony's definitely cuter! :D J-Ann... How did the appointment with the vet go? I always get so stressed out when something is wrong with my Moses (my cat) so I FEEL your concern! Susie... Congrats on the lost inches! You're doing great! Well all, I've think I've babbled on enough for now! See everyone tomorrow! TTFN Sara :) |
GOOD MORNIN'
Got up late. It'll probably screw up my whole day. I have to keep this really short. Everyone thanks for asking about "Sarah" the pointer. No diabetes, Hopefully just a bladder infection. She's on antibiotics and I'm to keep a close watch on her. THIN: The burger guy is colon cbg colon obviously no spaces between . :cbg: Work calls, "I'll be back" |
Hi all
Baylee: His grandfather did spoil him. There is nothing wrong with him excepts he's lazy. He has had several jobs and quit them or got fired for some reason or other. he went to college for body repair and does good at it but jobs here are scarce. I'm not making excuses for him. I love him But he doesn't seen to mind not having money to spend. When he needs cigarettes he finds them somewhere. But he needs to get a life of his own. DH and I have been married 10 years and we have been alone 1. We either had my mother or my son and mother or my son. his son, daughter in law and grandson.:( Well thats enough:soap: Hope all of you have a great day. |
G'day Chickies!
Weigh-In Wednesday has come once again. What did the scale tell me this morning? Absolutely nothing I didn't already know... I've been weighing myself daily! :o I am down 4 pounds since last week's weigh-in for a total of 57 pounds lost! (Same as what I reported on Monday!) I WONDER if I can resist the scale until next week...
J-Ann... Glad to hear that poochie should be alright. Fingers crossed that all is taken care of with these antibiotics. Baylee... I was happy to read how good Soy is for you! I just had soy burgers for lunch for the first time (2 patties/no buns). They were "alright". I'll definitely keep them in mind if someone is having a barbeque so I can actually EAT something if I'm attending! PLUS... I have a few friends who are vegetarians and I'm gonna keep a box around so I have something "quick" that they can eat if they stay for lunch. Well... I should probably get my butt in gear. I have a new piano student dropping by shortly for an initial evaluation of her skills. And praise be, it's an adult for once!!! A WELCOME CHANGE! See everyone in a bit, Sara :) |
Hi everybody! I feel like such a slug. I have only done 2 jobs each day this week and I feel so lazy. OMG, I've spent more time doing nothing for the past 3 days. I have to get back in the swing of things. 'Bra jobs' start again in two weeks!
Gosh, I guess I really blew everybody's mind posting WW @ $162. What I guess nobody understood was that $162 pays you up through the end of the year 2002. That means 18 weeks for $162. That divides out to $9 a week. That is really a good price since in most places WW is $10.95 a week and on a special package deal $9.95 a week. So $162 for the entire rest of the year is a GOOD DEAL!!! Sorry for the confusion! Sara: I'm on a Seefood diet. Any food I see, I eat! :joker: Congrats on the 4#'s. That's wonderful. You keep it up, you're doing great!!! :D Baylee: Thanks for the article. It was really interesting. Also thanks for the 'cheeseburger' smilie. When you print out the codes, it just looks like a regular old smilie, nothing special. Now I'm making a note, cuz he's cute!!! :cbg: I'll use him even though I haven't had a cheeseburger :cbg: in I can't remember when. J-ann: Glad Sarah is ok. Hopefully the antibiotics will do the trick. Thanks for the burger code. :cbg: See, I got to use it again. Mary: I'm sorry you are so stressed about your son. I hope that there will be some light at the end of the tunnel for you someday soon. [[[[hugs]]]] Well, girls, time to go see what's for dinner. Don't forget to send the new job vibes for DH :goodvibes: Tomorrow is the BIG day. Hope you all have a great night. Love  to all. P. S. Aren't the cheeseburgers cute? All three of them do it in unison!!! |
Hey gals.......
This post won't be a long one as I am a busy worker bee today. I finally get a night off from football practice so I have about 20 things going at one time, but I had to stop in to say hello. As I type, I should be vacuuming my living room, washing my sheets, dusting the furniture and sweeping the kitchen. But here I sit on my big fat butt.......whew! I need a break though. So, how is everyone doing? Great, I hope. I for one am looking forward to a long weekend. I always hate Mondays and going back to work on Tuesday is always a good thing. Oh crud, my mom is calling long distance, so I will go for now. Take care and I love you all. |
Baylee I wasn't offended taht is cute.
Hope all of you have a great day. |
HELLOOOOOO
Well, here's hoping today is an improvement on the last few food wise. :o BAYLEE: Hope you tooth is better, or gone, by now. ;) Loved your story last night. MARY: Here's a hug for you ..:grouphug: Hope things look better for you soon on the homefront. MICHELLE: Somehow I don't think you should try those peanut butter parfaits. :nono: THIN: Here's some good vibes for your DH's interview. :goodvibes: SARA: Wow, that sounds like a pretty stressful volunteer job. Good for you for stepping up to help. GOOD LUCK with your training and CONGRATS on the 4 lb. loss. Way To Go!!!! You are right that we are all different. Now I think, that in my case, I AM trying to change my lifstyle including food, exercise and my attitude towards myself for life, ergo a committment to a new healthy lifestyle. I feel that is the only way, at this point in my life, that I can look at it. OOPS, Breaks over, time to get back to work.. see ya  |
Do Not Post Here!! Like sands thru the hourglass, these are the days of 300+ And Ready To Try Again...........#206. Please come and join us there!!!
