I wouldn't mind pies or pastries so much because those usually aren't my temptation.

We have vendors though, that come in and cater lunch to "treat" us. They bring it to the center of the office and set up tables. Last week was gourmet pizza from a speciality pizzaria. And the week before that was BBQ from Oklahoma Joe's. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the next one will be subway or something that I can actually eat lol.

It is super difficult when the whole office smells and not just the break room.

When I worked in an office I dealt with treats by saying "later". I didnt say I couldnt have it (hello trigger craving) I would say..."I can have it later". I would just keep saying "later" as often as it took for everyone else in the office to eat it all up.

The branch I work in fortunately is the smallest and I only have 3 other co-workers. There are times food is brought in but not at the volume it sounds like a lot of you have to deal with. I can't imagine. It's hard enough when I'm offered a cookie but if I had 3 whole pies staring at me. OMG.

Kudos to you girlfriend for having the will power to stay away from the pie!
