Looking for accountability buddies.

  • This fall was tough for me, and I ended up getting frustrated with my plan, falling off the wagon, and gaining back 25 pounds of the 130 I lost. Fortunately, I'm in a much better place now and I'm ready to start things up again. I noticed that in OA, accountability is a big deal- people report what they ate and how they felt to each other EVERY DAY. And it definately seems to help, takes some of the power away from food and the secrecy away. So I'm looking for a buddy or buddies who are interested in daily reports and support. A little about me:

    I'm 23, from Ohio.
I'm about 183 and am aiming for 133ish.
I can run about 2 miles in a little less than half an hour (slowly!) and plan to train to get that up to 3k in 40 minutes or less. I intend to exercise daily, but might need a push!
I'm a calorie counter. I think I'm going to start out at 1500 for a week, then move down to 1400/day for a month or so. I've been eating 2000+ for a while, so I can't go right back down to 1200 without going crazy!
  • Hi Kelly,
There's a little group of us here that post in a check in called Daily Food and Exercise Confessions. We post our foods (we count calories) and we post our exerise for the day. Here's a link to the beginning of our check in. We would love to have you join us. http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/weig...sions-3-a.html
  • I just saw your post about accountability buddies. I noticed your pictures that were attached to it, and I was so inspired. So I looked at your profile, and saw that you're my age (I'll be 24 in August of next year), and saw that you struggle(d) with a LOT of the same stuff I do.

I'm looking for someone to be an accountability buddy with. Someone to touch base with at least once a day whether it be e-mail, AIM, or texting, etc.

So yeah. You can message me here, or on AIM if you prefer. My AIM screen name is "sans etoiles"
