lol, I had a mirror like that for a long time. I was kinda mad when someone broke it ;)

You and I are the same height. We also have the same goal (Yay!).

Because of our height, I think it takes a bit longer for the weight loss to show (because that weight is distributed over a longer body). If I remember correctly, I had lost about 35 pounds and only gone from an 18 to a 16! I was so frustrated!!! Then after a few more pounds I flew from a 16 to a 14 and then to size 12s.

Keep it up, girlie! You're doing wonderfully! I'm sure others will start noticing soon (if they haven't already - sometimes people hesitate to mention weight loss) and their comments should be a great motivator for you, too. :-)

Mandie said it best. It's all about your mind.

I've lost 50 pounds so far, and gone from a Size 22/24 to a Size 14/16, lost almost 10 inches off my waist, 6 off my hips (darned pregnancy curtain!), my arms have slimmed, my bust has slimmed...All the numbers are there.

But, I look in the mirror, and I'm me. Just me. Still fat and flabby. Still almost-pretty. There are things I notice if I look hard enough. My collar bones are jutting out and my stomach now curves in (instead of out), but those are all isolated things. They aren't part of the whole.

Try looking at yourself in places your mind wouldn't expect to see you - a reflection in a window, for example. It may take a few seconds for your brain to understand that it's looking at YOU and when the realization strikes you'll see the difference.

I agree with the post above that your lack of process is more about brain psychology than reality. If you had an observer look at before and after pictures I'm sure they would see quite a significant difference. Don't get down on yourself and be watchful for improvements. Do you feel better? Do you have more energy? Are your clothes looser? These are tangible effects of your success.
