That's grams of carbs? very low 50 grams and low is 125 grams? I never knew what the number were.

Okay, then I will add in another slice of bread for lunch...I will see where that gets me, carb-wise. My carbs are only 27 grams so far. I guess I should shoot for 125 grams then?

And good news - I got the bodybugg up and running today! I was having issues with it earlier, simply because I couldn't get it to renew. For some reason, the site just didn't take my credit card information. I called cs over there about a million times yesterday about that, and always got the voice mail. I fixed the problem, however, without their help.:mad:

But now, with the bodybugg going I get to see my calorie burn again, so yay! It will at least give me a better picture of what is going on and what I have to tweak, activity-wise. I find that, when I work out, I tend to burn around 2,300 for the day if that is my only activity. If I am walking around that day, too, like going to the store and what-not plus the gym, I can get pretty good calorie burn (up to 2,500). So, I will see what's what, and how many calories I burn with Jillian plus walking to the gym and maybe tweak my diet based on that, too.

For an ongoing plan. Now, if you're looking at Atkins induction (Phase I), you get 20 net carbs a day for 14 days. Net carbs is total carbs minus fiber. So, 1 slice of regular Ezekiel bread has 15 grams total carbs and 3 grams fiber, for net carbs of 12. Two pieces of bread would be the limit. But that's just Atkins, and only induction. You add more carbs later.

Eating the Zone Diet percentages--30/40/30 protein/carb/fat--you get 150 grams of net carbs for a 1500 cal. diet. But Zone Diet is not low carb.

Instead of adding in BREAD carbs, you could add in VEGGIE and/or FRUIT carbs. Those type carbs seem to be much more weight loss friendly for many people. Like myself.

I agree, I avoid bread for the most part (rarely eat it) but my carb percentages are around 70%. I eat lots of legumes and veggies and I mix up how many whole grains vs fruit I eat. Right now, I'm favoring whole grains and eating fewer fruits but still eating fruits.
