Unless this is a contest and huge amounts of money are on the line, just eat normally . Why try to trick the scale? It really doesn't prove anything.

I like to weigh myself first thing in the morning. I think it's most accurate because your body has processed the food you ate the day before and is at the day's set point. As someone else said, food weighs something. If you weigh yourself, then eat a pound of food or drink a pound of water, then immediately weigh yourself again, you will have "gained" a pound. That certainly isn't accurate. If your only option is to weigh in at night, then just realize that if you're losing weight you will see a downward trend. It just won't be the same number as you'd see in the morning.

The idea is to lose weight and get healthier. As long as the number is going down, it's all good. Why stress over WI day? Just stay on plan and the rest will take care of itself. Good luck, BTW.

Same for me. The couple days after eating salty foods, I am 2-3 lbs heavier! I know it will go away but it is still frustrating and disappointing to see the number go up on the scale.
