Julia, I was once like you in believing that less was best when it came to eating. When I first started this journey, I was eating around 800-900 calories a day and yes, I lost about 75 pounds in a couple months but then it all stalled. I found 3FC and was given the advice about eating more. I understand now that my body needs fuel and I have to eat to do that. I don't have to eat like I did at 330 pounds of course but I do have to be sure I am eating enough. This is an important post, in my opinion, because I am sure there are many others out there under the same misconception of less is best. Thanks Julia and congrats on your successes

wow, 8-900 cals at 330, you mustve felt super crappy. even doing 1000 i felt like crap and constantly waited for my next meal.
you were one of the people who told me that eating more can be okay, and can even help you lose more. until i joined this site my biggest focus was *get this weight off, and do it as fast as possible*. i never thought about maintaining, or what would happen after wards. this site made me change my motto to "theres no point to doing anything you cant sustain". even though my weight loss has slowed considerably, and im totally jealous of all my friends who have crash dieted and gotten thin, i feel like my expectations have changed. i dont want this weight gone as fast as possible, i want it ACTUALLY gone.
thanks for all your support michelle.
