it's holding me accountable. I know that others feel my frustration so I don't feel shy about sharing. There are great ideas flowing through here!

One thing that's helped me is seeing how many people in the 100 lb. club hit a plateau at about the point I am now. I knew it was coming and from reading the Maintainers, knew if I didn't give up that the scale will move again. In the past I might have said "well, you get all those health benefits from dropping 10% and I'm past that..." and stopped there. But now I know someday I'll be one of those recounting the story of how I stuck it out. Thanks!

I haven't been posting that long, but I have been lurking since I started. I find so many things that have inspired me. Sometimes I feel so un-motivated to get out to the gym so when I do I go to the goal section and read and see that I should just get up and go it will make a difference in the end. I have had help with what is good to eat and tracking calories. It's always good to know I can come here if I have a question or concern or even a rant and it will be accepted. It is inspiring to see so many people working toward the same thing I am and doing it with a smile most of the time. Everyone here works so hard and eats so well and in turn it makes me do the same. You are all so awesome and inspiring. I don't always post mostly just browse through but this site has helped me a lot. So thank you every!

Great thread!

When I discovered 3FC last summer (totally by accident!) I knew within a few minutes that I had struck gold. Everyone is so incredibly supportive and honest.

Everyone here has common experiences and behaviors, many that I thought were weird and freakish. For example, last summer, I remember a thread on crazy irrational binge behavior, like ordering two sodas in the drive-thru so that the people would think you were ordering for two. I realized that my binge behavior wasn't unique at all, and it made me feel so much better.

I love how inspiring the maintainers are. Not just in their stats and pictures, but in their posts as well. I want to be one some day so I can be just as inspiring to others!

I don't tell people in my life that I'm losing weight (too many opinions, etc), so without this website, I'd be totally without support. It's nice to have a place to come when I falter, and when I have a victory. And I love how everyone here will celebrate small victories!

Big  to everyone here for teaching me these seemingly obvious facts that I just could not figure out for myself, going it alone on the media diet trails:
a) "You can't hate yourself thin". Epiphany-quality quote there.
b) "We are all a laboratory of one". Made it OK to experiment and to really listen to what combinations make me feel better.
c) Quit thinking about it and just MOVE. You don't have to be motivated, have a gym, or to even like exercise. Shut off the brain and DO. You will not regret it.
d) Don't wait til Monday if you screw up to start over. Fix it at the next meal.
e) Yes, it's for the rest of your life. It's worth it.
f) Real people can, and do, lose weight and keep it off.
THANK YOU!!!!
