Way to go!

I find that learning the calorie count really helps me. Is it worth the amount of calories it cost? Am I willing to give up X, Y, and Z to have it? Usually the answer is, "Nope!"

Sweet mercy I love Krispy Kreme, so I don't have them at all! That is the one thing I will not allow myself to eat.

I do love donuts, and other donut-esque pastry... I do the same thing as you OP - I tell myself if I really want 'insert bakery item here' I'll wait a few days and then swing through a local bakery and get a really good one instead of the mass produced one I'm looking at in the grocery store. It almost always works. :)

omg donuts! yum!

I applaud you on not getting any, and the fact that you bargained with yourself to have one later if you still wanted one! Great job! You did perfectly. I hope that when I am faced with a craving like that I can perform as well as you!

I didn't purchase the unwanted doughnut and honestly, I don't believe I'll want one in a week. I only wanted it because I saw it there and was hungry. I'm feeling rather pleased with my restraint.:D

Anyone else not eat something today that they wanted, but which wasn't on plan?

LET ME TELL YOU my son had some fresh Krispy Krem doughnuts for a fund raiser and brought them home and I smelled them all over my house and I think that my nose must have grown, I FELT AS THOUGH I WAS GOING TO MELT. I did not eat one- someone on here made the comment thin looks better and that is all I could think about

The right decision! This DOES look (and feel) better. :)

One of the things I do love to do is walk through the bakery section of a market...I really love it. The smells and look of things is enough for me. I'm just one of those people who enjoy that sort of thing and know that some people avoid that stuff as much as possible. It is like, I love walking through a coffee shop. LOVE IT, but hate coffee. The smell is great, the taste is awful and believe it or not I feel that way about sweet treats. Most of the time now I hate the way those things taste, toooooooooo much sugar. Always too much.

As for Krispy Kreme donuts, years ago I had one and it smelled like mustard. Since then...I smell mustard when I'm around donuts. lol..i can't help it, so no donuts for me! Maybe it was a sign cause that smell totally turns me off of it. In fact while visiting family last year they had brought home homemade donuts from a local bakery and I swear...I smelled mustard watching them eat em lol. I didn't want any even when they kept offering me some. Nah...powdered sugar and crap, no way. I hate that stuff anyhow...
