Good morning. I have been so busy at work and then when I get home my kids are on the computer so I never get a chance to be on. The Mother of the boy that my son got into an accident has called they want to settle outside of the insurance for 1000.00 I really don't think his car is worth that much so please pray for me as I make the choice of what to do. I didn't think there was that much damage done and we didn't want our insurance to go up. I am keep the pastor in my prayers as he goes through his treatments. We ask WHY bad stuff happens to good people but GOD is in control and there is a reason. I can say from just hearing about your Pastor it has made me once again stop and thank God for my many blessings. As the 4th comes around and we once again have warnings that something could happen I realize how blessed we have been. We keep taking God out of our schools,work,goverment, ect... But notice when 9-11 happen we heard over and over God Bless america!

Sorry I've been MIA!
 

Hey y'all! Sorry I've been away - it's been a tough couple of weeks. I have been in the hospital and in and out of 2 doctor's offices. They think there is something wrong in my inner ear or in this certain auditory nerve. All I know is I have not felt so great lately. I am nauseous all the time, I hear a loud whooshing and my pulse in one ear all the time, I have vertigo all the time, and sometimes I feel disoriented. (It's just like being pregnant except that I had my tubes tied 3 years ago!) So, I am taking some medication which controls some of the symptoms while we try to get me straightened out. The next doctor I will see is a neurologist at Emory. Please pray that he will be able to get a definitive diagnosis and FIX IT!!!!

Enough about that - blah, blah, blah. I am sick of dealing with it and sick of talking about it! I hope everyone else is doing well. I am maintaining right now. No loss and no gain. I just don't feel motivated! Any one have any great ideas for me?

I hope you all had a happy 4th and didn't overdo it! I did great at breakfast and lunch but NOT at dinner!! Oh well, remember that 90/10 principle, right?

Hello my friends.....just checking in so you don't forget me. :lol: With Jenna here, it's been run, run, run. She will be here until Tuesday so I'll be gone until Tuesday night. Oh, and as for my eating. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH......<sigh> that 10.5 lbs I lost is being sabbotaged ~ but, I'll be okay.

But, all joking aside, once Jenna leaves to go back home, I am going to really get on the ball. I've been praying and asking the Lord to help me and He keeps telling me that all I need to do is eat healthy right now.......I want to take His word literally but does He not remember how I hate veggies? :lol: Ok.....I did say all joking aside....ha.....once tuesday rolls around, I will be A-OK!

I am sorry I am away for so long but I can't get time on the computer with the kids home all the time! I think I will always be fat........ try try try and I get on the scale and BAM the same.......I don't know what it will take to make me stay OP. Amy I am praying for you. Pastor and his family went on a vacation this week, just to get away as a family. He is scheduled for more tests next week, will keep ya posted. Please keep him in your prayers. I am going to be camping most of this week, so have a great week guys. I probably won't get back on until friday

Sue I am going to add your pastor on our prayer chain at church. I will keep him in my prayers. That you for the prayers on the car I am really stressed over this because the insurance is trying to now find a way not to pay. They tied to tell me if you live in the same house you have to be on the policy or you are not covered. When I challenged that they couldn't show me that on the policy. Now we recivied a letter stating that if they can prove my Son didn't have permission or was hired /or rented the car they wouldn't pay. Please pray for me.

It sure is quiet around here. Are you all on vacation?? I just got back from attending my nephew's wedding. I had a great visit with my family. I don't get to see them very often because we spread so far apart. It was really nice. I also didn't eat the way I should and am paying for it today. My stomach can't handle the greasy fast food! I am back on track though so now it's down in pounds from here. I measured myself the other day and found that I had lost 1 1/2 inches off my waist just by doing the exercises I do each morning. That felt great!

Sami: I am so sorry you're going through all this with the car insurance company. I'm praying that all will work out in your favour.

Doitforme: I'm praying for your pastor. Keep a positive outlook. God is a God of miracles!

Zoe: Today is tuesday. How are you doing? I find it hard to eat the veggies everyday too. too bad they don't taste like chocolate!!

Amy: I hope you're feeling better and that you get a proper diagnosis that can be corrected. there's nothing worse than feeling lousy!

Hi all you good lookin' loooosers;)
I have been really busy between work and o.t.-- my step-d and her all-star softball-- my daughter and her new summer job-- son and his softball playoffs-- still researching flooring samples and having our roof re-done right now.
Softball has taken almost every breathing moment from Fri. nights to Sunday nights!:( I am happy for the chance for step-d to play but the time commitment is unreasonable-- it sure isn't like when we were kids! We had all-stars and time for summer:)
Oh well-- the state tournament is this coming week-end so we shall see how far the girls go.
I have put on 4-5 pounds with ball-park food-- yum-yum:lol: Will have to star exercising after softball is over. I am putting in so much time at work that I am too tired when I get home-- should be at church for a board meeting now but my WONDERFUL wife is covering for me.

Well, my long week is over and I went back to work yesterday. My daughter's visit was great but alas, she has now gone back home and we're back to our usual routine. My eating was bad, bad, bad while she was here. I am so upset with myself and so ashamed after really asking God to help me. I know that He was there with me in every BITE that I took and I most likely ignored Him. (Sweet Jesus, I'm so sorry)

Gary ~ your "loser" comment made me smile because I post under LOSER'S FOR CHRIST under the diet plan section. Yes, I want to be called a loser and I'll be a loser for Christ any day. :D:D

Summer Days
 

Good morning everyone.
Dh,Ds and myself, now back from our wonderful week at Lake Erie.
(Not ancious to be back, but we're back).
The Canadian summer is HOT ! The temperatures, even Lake side, were well over 90 degrees.

I'm hoping your all enjoying your summer days? Our prayers are with each of you going through difficulties.

Dh (new Christian) is off today doing a weekly study with Brother Chris. He is like a sponge, soaking up the word! Amen!
Hoping your walks, all onward and upward.

The weigh- in, this evening, the results of a weeks holiday soon to be known. I've tried to stay OP and most often did, but, the scales appears to be stuck. Here I sit at the same for now a month, depressing.
I shall keep on trying, and that word "trying" does apply

While on vacation I made a Gospel Music purchase, I've discovered the Gaither Family and the Homecoming Friends.
You've probably all heard them, I know I'm uplifted!

Hello all.....just a quick note before I leave for my Seattle trip. I have to be there for business through late Monday so I'll be back here on Tuesday night.

My weight gain for my vacation (when my daughter was visiting last week) was only 2 pounds. I say "ONLY" because if you saw what I ate, you would never believe it was only 2 pounds. :lol:
So I feel good and am hoping that when weigh in comes again (Tuesday morning), I will be back to my 10.5 loss.

Have a great week/weekend. Talk to y'all on Tuesday or Wednesday. (my life is not my own lately...:)...)

Zoe congrats on just the two pound gain, your right it could have been worse. Been there. Gutchie- I love the gaither band, I like country type gospel music anyway. I have several of their albums.
Happy to here hubby is still soaking up the Lord. Wilma, sami, thanks . all the rest as well. My pastor had his pet scan yesterday, He finds out the results on Monday. If he has melanoma anywhere else, how they are going to treat it, and what his chances are. so, please continue to keep him in your prayers. and thanks so much for that. Gary you sound like you have been busy, but you always take the time to cheer us on and I thank you for that. God bless everyone, pray you have a great wekend, I have to work doubles this weekend. But off most of next week, so it will be worth it. Take care!

Greetings LOOOOOOOSERS;)

I have returned from a week-end of softball-- it didn't go as well as the team wanted-- they won the first one on Friday but on Saturday they were beaten by a better team. The girls then were in the losers bracket and one more loss and they were out of the state championship-- well they lost to a not-so-good team 4 to 3 so they were sent packing home-- a very dissapointing showing for the National Champs in their bracket. The coach thinks they will be invited to the nationals anyway-- they are in Sante Fe New Mexico in August--- HOT-HOT-HOT:cool:
ZOE - I am glad to hear that you gained only 2 lbs. when your DD was here, my sister-in-law and her hubby just moved back to Calif. last week from 7 years in Seattle-- I love to vist Wash. but I don't think I would like living there in the rainy parts-- I have several friends in the state that would never come back to Calif. though. JOANNE- Congrats on the work of our Lord in your DH:) I am sorry it is sooo hot there-- seems like we wait and wait for summer then it goes so quickly-- and so many days can be miserable with the heat. SUE- I hope the results of your pastors' test come back as good as can be. I am still praying for the family and congregation, I hope you have a splendid "most of the week off:D "

I hope things are going well for everyone. Hey come back I miss your posts!!!!! I have been down with pain in my tummy it was so bad fri I almost went to the ER. I am a little better but I have to stay on pain meds. My DR has been out but he will be back tue. I have had problems before and it was an infection. My DD has set the wedding date Sept 20 2003 I have a little over a year to lose 70 lbs so I am counting on lots.................of encouragement!!!!! She found the perfect dress and we bought it on Sat. I just wanted to cry seeing my baby in that dress.

Ez-It is sad when we see our kids lose but it is also a good thing to see that playing your best is all that counts.

Zoe-You are like me I am my own worst enemy! We are going to do this. I just can't let my DD down or myself. I know if I don't lose the weight I will feel terrible everytime I see pictures of my DD wedding and I want that to be a good memory.

Wilma-how is the walking going? My DS just got his first job!!! How is your DS doing at his Job?
