This is for chain restaurants with 20+ stores in the state. It starts July 1! boobalah came home with a brochure from Quiznos that had all their food listed. Now that he's seen it, he is reconsidering eating there again. Gee! Maybe he'll stop getting cranky with me for not wanting to eat there.

I would imagine that the daily specials will be a problem for some of these chains.

I think this is great news! My DH is finally starting to take notice just what he's taking into his body. Doc's told him a few years ago he needed to make a "life change".
I think this is long overdue, and I know I will have a collection from all the places DH goes to.

Quiznos was nasty about it for the longest time. They would only post their salads. Now dietfacts.com has over 300 entries for them.

Now keep in mind that the little mom and pop diners don't have to do it. Nor do chains with less than 20 in the state.

It's a start and I'm sure they won't have all the info we need. I think they are required to give cal and fat. I'm hoping they'll include carbs/fiber and sodium.

At Quiznos, I usually get a small whole wheat veggie with no cheese or sauce + cup of broccoli cheese soup, it's pretty filling although I don't think there's much protein in it at all (except for the cheese, but I get it without that!). Sometimes I also get a small honey bourbon on whole wheat. I have it as my weekly "treat meal" when I am training for something.

I used to work at Quiznos in high school, I believe the sandwiches I listed are under 450 calories and the (cup) soup is 160 calories.

I've actually always been very happy with Quiznos. They have extensive nutrition information on their website, and I've found that they have quite a few healthy options. Sure, you can go crazy, but you can go crazy at Subway, too.

Quiznos is one of my favorite places to go!

But back on topic, this is great! I can't wait to see what places are going to come out with...
