What did you eat today?

  • I know we'll all be different, 'cause we're all on different types of diets. But I thought it would be cool to hear what's working for different people.
  • Let's see.... today I had:

    Breakfast: egg/egg white bake with mushrooms/onions/cheese, homemade citrus loaf with apricot jam, orange
    AM Snack: smoked turkey (was slicing it up, usually it's beef jerky)
    Lunch: Multi-grain tortilla with mustard/lettuce/smoked turkey, apple, chocolate zucchini cake
    PM Snack: hummus, flatbread
    Dinner: szechwan beef stir-fry, salad with homemade vinaigrette
    Evening Snack: fruit salad, protein shake

    Okay, I haven't had the evening snack yet, but that's what I will be having. That's approximately 2000 cals, and I lose fairly well on that.
  • Breakfast: 5 grain oatmeal w/granny smith apple, raisins, cinnamon. skim milk
    Lunch: smoothie: banana, strawberry, blueberry yogurt w/flax seed; 2 whole grain rye & sesame crackers.
    Snack: 1 hard boiled egg, another cracker w/sharp cheddar cheese slice.
    Dinner will be spinach & mushroom stir fry w/whole grain spaghetti noodles.
  • B: Kashi Go Lean with light vanilla soy milk and 3 oz of sliced strawberries
    One cup of Chai tea and two cups of coffee

    L: 2 small stuffed peppers. The stuffing was ground white meat turkey, brown rice, tomatoes, and onions.

    S: Starbucks iced coffee with Splenda and fat free half-n-half and one Dove dark chocolate square.

    D: 6 oz of 2% cottage cheese, 1/2 cup of pineapple drained of juices, 1/4 oz of walnuts and 8 Fiber Select Wheat Thins.
  • B: 2c. Shredded Wheat w/ 1.5c skim milk
    L: 6" Chicken Sub on 9grain Honey Oat
    S: Fiber Plus Bar and an Apple
    D: Beef Fajitas
    S: Leftover Chicken/Pasta Casserole from last night

    I'm nursing a 6wk old baby so I eat about 2200 calories a day, still feel like I could eat the box around the granola bars sometimes!
  • Today i had:
    Breakfast: smoothie; spinach, protein powder, almond milk, and berries
    Lunch:Pita w/ veggies and ranch, strawberries
    Dinner: spaghetti w/ sauce garlic toast
    Desert: Brownie
    Snack: Popcorn
