shopping. it's to the point where shopping for new clothes is becoming a problem almost. I even posted a thread about it in the 100 club. I love getting new, smaller clothes.
Oooh - one-on-one yoga - that sounds amazing!
And yep, couldn't agree more on the shopping idea. Since I'm at the beginning of what I hope (!!!) to be a long and successful losing streak, shopping in my own closet or rather, in the bags of clothes that I've set aside because they were too tight, is keeping me entertained, but many of you are probably well past that stage : )
This one is kinda hard for me. I already do the mani/pedi every 2 - 3 weeks (gotta keep myself pretty for myself & my man). It is also a priority for me to go to get a trim/cut every 2 - 2.5 months. The only thing I don't do really is buy myself clothes (unless I really need them) because I would rather buy clothes/stuff for my kids. I do like the nicer stuff (ie: more expensive) but being a "single" mother with 3 kids...money is kinda tight right now (I just can't see paying $100 for a shirt or skirt when I'm gonna lose more weight & only - hopefully - wear it for a month or two).
So far my only reward that I have set is that when I get to my goal weight (150) if I can maintain that for 1 year (enough time to save up) I will get a tummy tuck. After having 3 children my tummy is stretched way out. I know it seems really selfish or vein, but that is what I want. I know I won't ever look like I did before, but it would be nice to have that extra skin gone (not just hanging there - ew).
Samantha - My sister had a tummy tuck a few years ago (she's braver than I am about things surgical) and she's still thrilled with the results. That's a huge reward - I can see why you're focusing on that one.
Nell - good idea! Any recommendations to share?
My latest little treat, following the advice of earlier posters to use rewards that encourage good behavior, was to get a cute, bright-colored digital watch to wear running with a stopwatch to time my runs. Not wildly exciting but definitely <$10 : )
I like Billy Holiday , Sinatra, Bee Gees , Dirty dancing sundtrack, Grease, Saturday night fever, Sade ,Tina Turner , Latino music (love the way it sounds), soul, R&B, ...etc.
As you can see - all kind of music ... it all depends on my mood
