Hi! It's the end of a couple of hectic days and one more to go. I needed a break so here I am. DS graduated last night. what a beautiful ceremony. Both boys have graduated from our Christian school and we are very happy for that. The ceremony gave glory to God for how far they've come and the hope for the future. We are not sorry we put our boys in a christian school. They may have missed out on some of the perks of a public school but the spiritual grounding is priceless. I work in a public school system and have nothing against it. We just wanted our boys to have the Christian education.

I'll talk to you again tomorrow. someone wants to use the phone so I have to get off the line.

Hello,
I am of need of prayer at my house tonight My DS was in his first car accident and of course he was driving his sisters car who just hours before got insurance in her name only (she had been on our policy and wanted her own) It was my sons fault he has only had his license for 2 months and started to turn and another teen was trying to beat the light and they hit. Pray that it all works out ok there was little damage but I worry there could be false claim of injury on the passanger of the other car because she told me she had been in three accidents in two weeks and her knee hurt.

Thanks for your prayers!
Sami

Sami ~ My thoughts and prayers are with you, your son and your family. I've been in your shoes before and although it can be stressful, there was a message. Keep looking up and believe in God's grace.

Love,
Zoe <><

Huge prayer request-

Sami sorry to hear about your son, I will keep him in my prayers. I also have a prayer request, and its a big one. My pastor was recently rediagnosed with melanoma, He had been cancer free for 5 years. He originally had a huge melanoma removed from the right side of his back, and wasn't given alot of hope last time. But with God's grace, He recovered. About 3 weeks ago, He developed what He thought was a boil or ingrown hair on the outer edge of his scar line. However, it suddenly got much larger, so He went to the Dr. who sent him to the oncologist, who sent him to the surgeon. He had day surgery last Thursday and had it removed for biopsy. He found out yesterday, that it is positive for melanoma. He is only 46 yrs. old, has 4 kids, and cares for 2 foster kids. He opens his home to foster care of kids in crisis. He is a great guy, and this really hit him and his family hard. He goes back to the Dr.s today, for how they are going to pursue this, Please pray the Lord will heal him, that the surgeon got the whole melanoma, and for peace and comfort to the family. His name is Robert Hermann, His wifes name is Donna. I will keep you posted on what the Dr's say. Thank you in advance for your prayers. God Bless Sue

Tuesday Evening

Hi Ladies--
I am so sorry for all the sad news, however I am thankfull that we all know Christ is our Savior
SUE- I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am for your Pastor and his family-- to try to even understand it is impossible! My prayers are with all concerned.
SAMI- My prayers are also with your family and son. I rolled my first car at 15 and a half-- it was a 67 Mustang that I had paid $2000 for in '69. I had been working week-ends all through jr. high to pay for it-- I rolled it 1 stinkin' week after I bought it, I had a broken arm and tried to show my Dad's friends what it would accelerate to quickly-- DUMB!!! Thank God no one was injured:) You would think I learned a good lesson wouldn't you? Well I somehow managed to get in a crash with my mom's brand new '72 Cougar a few years later while still in high school. At least that was my last wreck:) .
WILMA- Congrats on your DS and his graduation-- you must be very proud!! And rightfully so!!!!
ZOE- How did the window dressing shopping go? My wife is all into the pretty valances-- I agree that they dress up the blinds. I have looked at about 6 GAZILLION carpet samples in the last week-- we keep going between different shades of green and beige. ANY SUGGESTIONS LADIES? We have hunter green furniture and decor in the dining and living rooms so we have been leaning towards those two colors but can't decide.
Well gonna sign off-- Prayers with all of you and those not posting this week-- I hope all is well in your lives-- In Jesus, Gary:spin:

Hey y'all!

I have been out sick for two days and haven't been at my computer.

Sue and Sami - you are being lifted up to the Lord right now. I am praying for both of you and your situations. I am praying for God's direction and for God's PEACE for you. I know that I know that I know that God loves us and is working all things out for our good, so that is what I will rest in and I will pray that same assurance for you and your families.

Sorry for the short post but I have two days of stuff piled up at my desk! So, I better dive in. I hope everyone has a great day and remember - Jesus loves you and so do I!! Amy

Thank all of you for all your prayers and support. So far the other young man has not turned in a claim. I don't think he has insurance. And in IN if you are driving with out insurance it is your fault! I look of the book value on his car and it was maybe 150.00 and our witness said my son started to turn and noticed that the car a comming to fast and stopped the other car did nothing to prevent the accident and just slammed into my sons car. So they might rule it 50/50 and if he can't prove he has insurance he is in big trouble! The information he gave me was vage and I didn't notice until he left. The insurance said don't worry until file a claim.

Keep on praying,
Sami

Sue-I am praying for your pastor and his family. Sometimes we just don't understand why but thankfuly God does.

SAN FRANCISCO, June 26 — In the first decision of its kind, a federal appeals court on Wednesday declared the Pledge of Allegiance unconstitutional because the words “under God” added by Congress in 1954 amount to an endorsement of religion

what's the deal???? What is this USA coming to???

ECmom 06-26-2002 08:07 PM

Sue and Sami-
I will remember both of your concerns in prayer........The Lord is always with us thru all trials and blessings.
Sorry to be so brief, we have been so busy, but praise God, fine.
Hope to get back on later when I can be more personal.
Ginny

Hi Everyone!

I am very pleased to tell you, that little "Carley" is home from the hospital and just fine. They will do some follow up work as she grows older (being only 15 months) with hopefully no lasting effects. Our prayers were answered, Thanks. Praise be to God !!!!

I finally got that scale to move, the wrong way, but it did move.
This week it started back towards again so we keep on keeping on. Our Weight Watchers group had a recipe evening and I shall pass on some low fat recipes to you once in a while. This one is easy:

Brownie Muffins
2 cups All Bran Cereal Buds
soak in 2 cups water for 5 minutes.

1 pkg. Low Fat Brownie mix (Betty Crocker)
1 Tbsp. Baking Soda

Mix together ( blender makes smoother) and bake for 20 minutes at 350.
This makes 24 large muffins and only 1 point each !!!! Enjoy.

Wilma: Glad to hear your migraine is better. Having had a few of those I relate, and would rather not experience them ever again.

Zoe: I did read about that "court" ruling. A radio talk show this morning had the commentator state that all those going to this extreme should send him all their "cash", as the word "GOD" appears on the money!

Thanks for all your remarks about DH's baptism, he is off this morning for his first minister/new Christian Bible study.
It is amazing to watch him grow and ask so many guestions along the way. A Christian united home is AWESOME.

We're off on a weeks holiday beginning this weekend to our Lake Erie cottage. I shall miss reading of you all and will think of you often. Until then be safe, enjoy the summer, and God willing be back in a weeks time.

God Bless each of you,
Hugs from Joanne (On the shores of Lake Erie)

Whew! It's Hot!

I am sitting here in my little library just a sweating. It's the last day of work for me for the year and I have my work almost done. I feel like it's been ages since I've been on here. It's been a very busy few days. I am looking forward to relaxing for a few days.

I lost another pound last week but with the water retention I'm feeling right now I'll probably put some back on until this heat wave lets up. I'll keep plugging along.

Gutchie: I'm so glad that little Carley is doing better. GOd answers prayers! It must be exciting living with a new Christian. The newness of life in Christ is so refreshing.

Sami: I'm so glad that your DS is okay. Everything else will work out. My inlaws hit a deer on their way here on Saturday. The car is still drivable and they were okay but they were quite shook up about it.

Amy: I hope you're feeling better now. Take good care of yourself.

I better get going and finish what I have to do here. Talk to you again soon.

Hi ya!

Thanks for all your prayers for my pastor. He is scheduled for alot of tests. One of which is a pet scan which will show if he has any more existing tumors in his body. Then he may face more surgery. They plan on an aggressive treatmnet with interferon. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. His family is really having a rough time dealing with this, as we recently lost a member of the church to lymphoma. So, his kids realize all to well, what might happen. Please pray that the pet scan is negitive, and that they got all of the origoinal tumor this time. Joanne I am so happy to hear carley is well, the Lord does answer prayer. Enjoy your vacation, sounds like fun. Wilma congrats on the pound, you'll make it. Ginny, amy, and ez thanks for the prayers. It is in the Lord's hand and I know He knows what He is doing. That makes it easier. Zoe, I couldn't agree more. I pray that the decision is overturned. The original judge did come back with a stay, so it will be gave to the whole 9th circuit to re-evaluate. I pray they make the right decision this time. I also pray that rather then hurt the man that brought this forward (the atheist) that someone give him the gospel and share with him the mistake He is making, love, not crulty is the answer. Gotta RUN, Hi to all I misssed!

FRIDAY NIGHT

HI LADIES ;)
How is everyone today? I just got back from a jazzzzzzz concert at the park-- really cool, went alone 'cause the wife was at a book club-wine and cheese thing at church. Met up with some friends from church there and listened to music and had pic-nic dinner for a couple of hours.
Have spent the last few week-ends at softball, the girls are doing fairly well, qualified for the state tourney in 2nd place from their district. No softball this week-end for step-d but she does have soccer-- I have work both days. Son just lost his first softball play-off game last night so his season is over. Daughter has a JOB :) finally!!! at the RUBY'S 50's diner in town-- she has always wanted to work there-- but she never could apply with all she had going on.
Still no new carpet but we are down to 2 samples of beige that we really like-- the boys like one and the girls like another-- we might have to flip a coin!!
Prayers are still with all the concerns!! Again, I am so sorry for the Pastor of Sue and his family. God's ways are sure confusing to us at times, aren't they? Thank God for strengthening our faith in times of need.
Well, I better get to bed-- have a great week-end all of you. In Christ, Gary:)

Hi ya!

The jazz festival sounds like fun, good music, good fellowship and good food, can't go wrong there. Hope all goes well with your dd new job, is she waiting tables? My niece just got a job busing tables. She is so excited, she is only 14 though. Thanks for the prayers about pastor and his family. He has a great testimony, which He shared in a sermon this past Sunday. Where 5 years ago when He originally was diagnosed. He wrestled with God, and had the questions why me, what did I do ? ect. But He prayed about it and brought it to the Lord and realized because we are sons of Adam we are afflicted with death and disease. He since has put that to rest, now is again after 5 years, back where He began. He isn/t questioning the whys or how comes. He trusts the Lord and communicates that so well. The church has become stronger if that were possible just with his opening that up, as part of his sermon last Sunday. He says He has fears, mostly about issues of his children, but knows the Lord will work it all to good. People witnessing his response, and faith, (doctors ect.) can't help but respond, to his testimony. Thanks all, He is scheduled for a cat scan today, then stitchremoval at surgeon's tom. Then sees oncologist wed. where pet scan, tests will be
