I plateaued at 140 with a goal weight of 135. I really really tried hard to lose those last 5 lbs. I had already lost 60 lbs, I definitely knew what I was doing. I decreased calories, I amped up the length of my workouts, the intensity. I calorie cycled....snip

Yes I plateaued for almost 3 months while staying 100% on plan. I recently broke the plateau by going on a much-stricter low-carb plan which tests for food allergies. IMHO, the key to making it through a plateau is to be patient, stay on plan, then research safe ways to break through if it lasts longer than a few weeks.

I have had slow downs and stalls along the way while being 100% on plan. I lost now 75 pounds since October of last year which is a lot of weight and when I got to a certain amount of weight loss it slowed down. I found that the first one happened when I decreased my calories. Once I increased them the weight loss started again and just recently when I decreased them it started again. Then the most recent one, I had no idea what happened until I realized I was eating a wrong kind of fat for my plan. They can happen and when they do you should definitely investigate your diet plan and see what you might be doing wrong. Sometimes you need to exercise or exercise more.
