10lbs gone: new underwear
20lbs gone: getting a ring resized (hopefully in the next week or so!)
30lbs gone: I haven't decided - maybe new bras??

Glory87, you crack me up! "Shameless bribes," indeed. :)

I bought myself a ceramic flattening iron for fixing my hair when I hit fifteen lbs, and a few lbs after that I bought a wide-barrel curling iron (I have wavy hair that'll go either way). This week, if I hit my weekly 1.3lbs-lost goal, I'm going to buy a couple good quality fine-tooth combs and a bottle of shine serum to amp up my look. If I hit my goal next week, I'm buying a new blush, cause I'm out. None of my goal rewards have been expensive, the first two were 15 - 25 dollars and the last two are less than five bucks each.

I think it's important to reward yourself with things that make the journey easier, too. When I get off another five pounds, I'm buying a pair of ankle weights to ramp up my calories burned on my daily walks, but ONLY if I've been diligently going on my walk every day to get that five pounds off. A few pounds ago, I bought a pair of five-lb dumbells to use when I do arm exercises. From what I hear, using added weights, even such small amounts of weight, can almost double your calories burned during certain exercises.

ooh.yeah..shopping!

I do other things too though...give yourself permission to watch too much TV..talk on the phone when you should be cleaning bathrooms...go for a long drive in the country with the windows down and leave your cell at home..go get a massage but don't tell anyone...these are the kinds of things I really LOVE

When I first started my diet, I discussed rewards with my boyfriend. He's going to get me new charms for my Pandora bracelet at 15 lb increments.

It was a while ago, so I thought that he'd forgotten, but a little package showed up on my nightstand last weekend. I was super excited, but since I haven't reached 15 lbs lost yet, I haven't opened it to see what he got me. It's pretty motivating to think of that little present waiting for me. It definitely helped me avoid the Godiva chocolates a product rep brought into work the other day.

Rocketbunny - charms for your bracelet is the sweetest thought from your boyfriend! Aw, you can see your progress around your wrist every day!

I definitely don't reward myself with food...it always leads to a binge. I am so trying to see food as necessary (like air and water) and not enjoy it (sounds weird I know). I can enjoy it more when I feel in better control.

Anyway, I just realized that I have set some great rewards for big losses but nothing really for small ones...I am going to go back to my blog and do that!

Books. Every 10 lbs is a trip to the book store. My last book was Dead in Dallas and the NEXT book is the next one in the series.

I get myself a little something-something for every 10 lbs that I lose. Examples: teeth whitening, tattoo, bikini, etc

Shopping has become an addiction for me, also. I usually reward myself with every ten pounds lost. Lately, though, I found that I needed new bras because of the weight loss, so I went to Victoria's Secret yesterday for the first time in 13 years and got some new bras.

Before my change in eating habits, I used to reward myself with food.

GreenEyedMustang, I'll bet you look 15 lbs thinner now that the girls are properly supported! WTG!

My DD21 tells me that I am truly spoiled. Probably because I won an itouch at work, but still crave an ipod shuffle for my workouts. I think that I'm still going to buy one--I just haven't decided when.

Buying new bras helped me to understand that "properly supported girls" can do wonders for your figure. I'm so excited about my new bras (and matching undies)!

That's also a huge feat for me...in the bigger sizes sometimes it's hard to find matching bra/panty sets.

Congrats on winning the Itouch, and I can totally see why you like the shuffle better for working out. I love my Ipod Shuffle for workouts...I think it's because I can't "see" what's coming up next, and it's just enough music where I don't get bored - but it's not overwhelming. It's also not quite as "big" - I guess I'm weird, but I like as little "in the way" as possible when running on the treadmill.
